As an RPer I am having a hard time making the character my own, mostly because of the choices. IMO the options are way too similar. Most of the times only the sarcastic answer stands out while rarely is there a really evil answer or an answer that deviates a lot from the other choices. Except parts of the main quest, some companion dialog and a couple of other major quests, I found the choices leading to exactly the same outcomes. It happened in FO3 too but I rarely had problems RPing what I wanted there.
I missed it indeed. I am glad that you recognize the loss of skill checks. They were a big factor in how much I enjoyed the series since F1.
Again FNV did a much better job than FO3. I expected FO4 to get the best of both worlds thus I am deeply disappointed.
Also I am glad you recognize it is not technically impossible. Many "experts" claim it is but the only thing they are proving is how conceited they are. But I strongly believe that it's wrong NOT to "dream"/ask for a better game. It's the only way products improve in the real world. The loss of skill checks for example - if it is never heard of or if none complains about it, we might as well forget them. If we do however, we have a realistic chance of getting them back in FO5.
I am not talking about claims. Scroll above and check those wiki enties for example.
