Gatling Laser, Fusion Cores, PA and nuclear physassist

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 6:27 am

So I am to the point in my Heavy guns/PA/Melee build that I am about to get a Gatling Laser. Bored at work here I googled the weapon and there is an apparent bug with the ammo in the fusion core? From what I read its that if you reload before fully expending the core it will only load fresh 100% cores? Any advice until this is patched? Just don't reload until you are dry correct? Also you could always place the partially used cores in your PA if you do reload for whatever reason. What if you put the weapon away? will it load a fully charged core? I know all the other weapons will fully reload if you put them away with a partially spent magazine.

You could do the caps glitch and buy a lot of them. Do the glitch, sleep(or wait) for 2 in game days for them to restock, repeat.

well the issue isn't having a lot of them. I already have the perk to double their use and have a good amount of them right now. I just want to know why it has been such an issue with other players.

Oh well it's a issue for me because I don't like having my armor and weapon using the same kind of power supply.

I hear you. Its an inherent weakness with the build. 3/3 Nuclear Physassist really helps. I wouldn't say its a must for the build but its close. I obviously have other options. I am a heavy gunner so could just go regular mini gun or do what I have been doing which is rock a missile launcher and super sledge anything that's in close range. Use a Fatman against extremely dangerout enemies like deathclaws.

It's not too bad, with 3/3 Nuclear you can re-use those nearly spent cores in a glorious nuclear detonation.
