Fallout Problem.

Post » Sun Jun 06, 2010 3:02 pm

I'm playing Fallout *ORIGINAL* and quite honestly, Its malfunctioning all of a sudden.

Last night, worked perfect. No issues.

This morning, woke up, turned on my Pentium 4 (w/ XP, running FO1)

I opened Fallout, I loaded my game (Vault 15 Entrance), and the screen went black, and I would move my mouse around, and only within the mouse cursor area, it would show the game, if I selected a button, it would erase everything.

Help!

That's another common problem with those games. Keep in mind you're running the game on an OS with a graphics card it was never meant to run on. :)

The ol' alt-tab trick usually fixes that problem for me whenever I run into that. Running in windowed mode can help with that sometimes too, I think. (You might have to find a mod to be able to do that, though.)

I get that problem all the time. What you need to do is just open up your menu, go to another screen (options, load game, save game) go back and the problem will be gone.

It happens to me if I have any programs running in the background (ones with actual windows open, that are in your taskbar).
