I am thoroughly disappointed. 110 Bethesda.

That's really helpful for when I'm trying to build a fence that is literally floating in mid air because of a slight hill. Better build a concrete foundation for a fence, that will do the trick. Yeah the leaves on the trees around my house poke through my walls, there really isn't much fixing that. Also the grass pokes through anyways in some areas.

I haven't played much fallout 3. Good thing mine game with a free download of it. I'll have to boot it up and see what it's like compared to Fallout 4.

The OP's warped judgment and horrible tastes can best be summed up with the fact that he calls previous installments "prequels." LOL. Kids today. :lmao:

You also forgot to mention how you can add an attribute at every level ^^

The game is not RP friendly at all. At least all other things can be fixed with mods... but not the dialog system. It is almost impossible for modders to create additional quest branching/consenquences/skill checks and more dialog options and even if they could these would have no voice and wouldn't blend in the game.

it's not that hard to tell. like the rest of my post said, just look at the title of this thread for instance. 1/10, lol. maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a great game none the less. a title like that is designed for one purpose, and everyone knows what it is. developers included

The perks system just gives them more control over game difficulty balancing. Which means more choice. More leveling options. More RPG character development because they can add insanely powerful character development options to the game, and place them behind a level restriction so they don't imbalance the early game. That gives them more freedom to add more interesting skills without having players complaining about the game being too easy. The thing that you're arguing gives less choice, offers more choice overall.

You make no sense. None of these perks are insanely powerful, none of them would be unbalanced if they were to be taken at level 3-5. The way you see it, we should all have the same perks, just in a different order. Because there is no other way that the perk system works in Fallout 4, you cannot have character specialization in any way as long as we have this [censored] system implemented.

some of the level required are pretty high though like needing lvl 43 for a perk? thats a bit to high just finished the main story and i am lvl 40 now. there is still thing to do but you should be able to get the perks you want in a reasonable time + the fact that the perks for lvl 10 in a skill aren't often as good as the low level skills. they could have done more things like with rifleman first perk need 2 percision (what is kinda low but i could live with) 2nd needs 4-5 precesion 3rd 6-7 precision 4rth 8-9 and last 10 precision. would like to see lower level caps and more of the special points needed

Though I agree that this is not a great game, a 1/10 is not really justified. It is definitely above average overall and has some fun value to it out of box. Combat remains the crutch of Bethesda games, they all stink in that aspect so not being able to wander is a bit heavy handed since in the old games you were only able to succeed due to horrible enemy mechanics and cheese. This has been true since Daggerfall. I do like the city building albeit Bethesda did a horrible job implementing it in vanilla game. It has tons of modding potential as long as they didnt lock down all the functionality.

As a side note, all I did from levels 1 to about 15 is wander. I ran across quests on accident rather than on purpose and I did so on survival difficulty. The game is ridiculously easy so this is where I agree with you. I have not noticed any significant level scaling structure or perhaps I am just too good at Bethesda games (after reading the difficulty thread I thought I was playing a different game). I ran across a wandering super mutant as early as level 3 while wandering east. I ran across more when I got closer to Diamond City. Along the way I fought several legendary enemies but it really didnt matter, I killed them very easily. What I dont like is that the world feels very small compared to older games... I am not sure why or if that is even true, but it sure feels that way.

I also dont like the further removal of RPG elements. It definitely plays like a FPS and your perks really dont matter. In fact, I have not put a single point into anything damage related in my game, I just put them all into opening locks, hacking, and modding stuff which to me means that this game is not an RPG at all. You dont need a build to succeed. You can win with just found weapons (harder but can be done), and assigning perk points randomly. This is not good...

It does not improve on older games and the new stuff is not implemented well (city building seems to not work right as enemies somehow bypass defenses... im guessing they spawn in the center of town or something). Crafting is also not exactly innovative. Its basically enchanting but replace spells with found junk minus the variety but with the chance for more "enchantments" per item (especially on weapons). This is not new or innovative and it was still done much better in Morrowind.

Still I think it is at least slightly above average. If 5/10 is the mean, then this game is 6/10.

When members start calling others trolls and there becomes a load of warnings to hand out to the folks that actually do like this game it becomes apparent that despite our willingness to accept constructive criticism, there is a point when it becomes flame bait for our actual fans.

It's fine not to like the game, it's not fine to intentionally post derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established community such as this forum to bait users into responding. And I believe that is what has happened here.
