Suggestion for Settlement growth and more interactivity

I am thoroughly enjoying this game especially the settlement building. I know some people will disagree with me, but I had two suggestions to make Settlements both more fun (less headache) and add a new element to it.

So I built up sanctuary and have like 6 unassigned settlers just meandering about. My first suggestion would be more of add a feature where you can send your "settler" out to scavenge supplies you desperately need. I keep running out of aluminum mostly, with most crafting and upper power armour suits requiring you to use aluminum. So if I have "Settler A) why not add an option where I can tell Settler A to go out on a "scavenging" run for "aluminum." It would run the risk as on Fallout Shelter, if you send out an under geared and ill prepared Settler they get killed very easily. So you have to assign them good gear and armour and send them on their way. Send them to areas you know they can handle etc.

My second request/suggestion is I have not seen an option to rename any of these settlers. You know how hard it is to remember who you assigned to do what based on nothing but looks? I went to assign one settler to run a new store i opened and suddenly my supply chain to Abernathy Farms disappeared.

And the Settlements are giving false readings on the pip boy. Had it tell me i had no food, no water, no power, no defense etc in Sanctuary when I had everything I needed there.

You can build scavenging station and assign settler to it. He will scavenge random junk and materials.

I'd suggest advanced structures like concrete walls, underground bunkers, advanced generators, windows, street lights, elevators, greenhouses, a reason for sanitation, town militia power armor bays. Make them absurdly resource costly so you have to advance the town's economy pay for it require settlers to build them. Bethesda gave us a taste and now we want the world. Make it happen boys!

Im talking like actually being able to send them out after a particular resource, not the *here let me roll the dice and see what you win* approach. And it wouldnt even be that hard. Most of Bethesda's loot is randomly generated anyways, so all they would have to do is when you tell Settler A to go and look for aluminum, they go to the location that has the best chance of aluminum based off Bethesda's "loot charts"
