MountsVehicles?

Should Fallout 4 have Mounts or vehicles in the game? (submarines, Airships, cars, motorcycles)?

I would like a vehicle of some kind. I loved the motorcycle mod I used in Fallout 3. It was a must-have in all my games. I think something similar would be great.

i like said, to add vehicles u need to sacrifice the irregularity on the terrain so u have more flat area. Plus u have the Vertibird already that for me is all i need really. Plus combat change with vehicles and the game play change to, if u give the PC a vehicle u need to give it to the enemies too. That will make Fallout become Mad Max game.

I don't think the irregularity of terrain is a problem. You could always have a tracked vehicle that can cope with rough terrain, or a chunky-wheeled-off-road-quad-bike thing. Or an off-road motorbike like the mod mentioned by Pseron Wyrd. Or even, as a last resort, something on jets like a Mr. Handy (as an example, my hoverchair mod for FO3).

I do feel that fast vehicles are problematic, as the content is rather too tightly packed for them to fit easily into the game, but something that goes at about sprinting speed or just a bit faster would be fine fo a workaday vehicle. That would be a bit too slow to suit a motorbike, perhaps, but any kind of home-made junkyard style vehicle knocked up by a wasteland tickerer should feel fine.

A fast assault vehicle would work too, as a replacement for power armour, if it traded high speed for armour (ie, high speed low armour, just as power armour is low speed high armour). I'm sure that lots of people, upon finding a difficult fight, would fast-travel back to their power-armour, fast-travel to the fight, and then stomp around laying waste. For an assault vehicle you'd fast-travel back to it, then drive at high speed to the fight and start charging around blazing away, knocking enemies over and hoping you dodged their attacks. Different play-style but similar functionality.

These sort of experiments would probably be best done as mods, but I think Bethesda could create vehicles that would work well as an option alongside on-foot exploration, just as fast-travel and vertibird-travel are options.

I personally think it would kill the fun of exploration. You can already fast travel to any place that you have been to. Walking around and exploring is more than half of the fun of the game, for me.

Perhaps a new DLC area that focuses on vehicle exploration separate from the main game

I'd trade the Tony Stark power suits for a customizable motorcycle in a heartbeat. Give me saddlebags to carry my loot and something to tear up ghouls in my path and I'll be a happy man. :)
