This happens with every Bethesda Game

So this happened to me in Skyrim and fallout 3. This game allows you to roam and kill everyone in sight, but there's a catch. For example I am doing the brotherhood of steel quest Cleansing the Commonwealth to clear settlements. I was given the info to go to Breakheart banks and clear the settlement of super mutants. The problem is that I cleared the settlement before the quest was given and now I cant finish the stupid quest. This happened to me in Skyrim and I have no way to reset the quest nor can I find the super mutant that I need to eliminate so I can collect my caps from Knight Rhys. This is why I avoid all settlements because of stupid [censored] like this. Any help would be awesome.

You'll just need to wait a bit until they respawn. Stay away from the area a while.

Because there are consequences for your actions in a good RPG.

This is kind of a poor defense in this case. If there were logical consequences for his actions, then he wouldn't have gotten the quest to do something he already did in the first place - or it would give him the option to say "already did that, caps please".

I cleared out Libertalia before I got a quest to go back there, and the area had been partially repopulated for the new quest. Not sure why that didn't happen for you.

Thank you for the response I am assuming the game will respawn the super mutants. I appreciate the feedback and will continue on a another quest!
