I like companions, they take care of the Radroaches and Ferral Ghouls and Bloatflies that I don't want to stop and deal with. They also help clean up duty when there is say one Raider left and I have no idea where he is.

They die a lot, but that doesn't bother me, I just keep going on without them and they show back up eventually.

never had this problem. And never had one alert the enemy when im sneaking.......mabe just me, but never had these problems

I take them along for the occasional comments they make and for being a human shield sometimes. But other than that, they're up to their best Bethesda behavior. McGready even pushed me off a bridge when sneaking up on some raiders.

That green bastard has saved my life more times than he can count. I love all the companions and don't have any of you people's problems

They help take some heat of me in a huge gun fight. That said they not as useful as Skyrim or NV companions once you give them some of the best gear and weapons.

Neverending weapons always use ammo, you just don't need to reload them.

Give them a PA frame (they dont need constant fusion cores, and they dont need armor) and a super sledge and they're good to go.
