GooAsh piles not disappearing in settlement.

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 12:35 am

I have Laser Turrets set up to defend my Red Rocket Truck Stop Base, They killed or turned some supermutant's to ash and the piles aren't disappearing? I'm on Xbox One so can't use mods to delete them. Is this a problem for anyone else. I hope this doesn't cause crashing issues like in FO3 and New Vegas.

This will never be fixed. It has been like this since Oblivion, and contributes to save bloating, which eventually will make the game unplayable. But it has no effect on review scores, so Beth does not care.

If they didn't care they wouldn't have made mods that deleted them on Pc for FO3 and New Vegas.

Bethesda does not make those mods, we, the users, make them. Beth's patches never addressed that issue.

Yes I have the same issue. It's an old defect that's been around in this engine from day one. Same goes for dead bodies I now have to drag and pile up on the edge of my settlements.

Still I hope they will address the issue being next Gen and all. Whether we think they will or not. Thanks for help.

The bodies disappear for me that's weird. The Goo and Ash piles are the problem for me.

Seriously, issues like these that have been present for over a decade and never get fixed annoy the crap out of me.

I noticed that a never fixed bug from Skyrim is present in FO4 as well. Dropped enemy weapons do not despawn, leading to savegame bloat and huge loading times.

The stupid thing is it's a damn easy fix! Just bloody lazy ass coding and I'm still annoyed most the skrym coding has been left in the game. It is just plain lazy copy and paste coding and these issues have been highlighted for over 7 years!!

You'd think after Skyrim they would fix this.

I keep having this issue too. A lot of the time when I clear out a settlement, the bodies just disappear after a while. But in some of them they just remain. The same mongrel dog and raider have been laying right in the road in front of the bridge to Sanctuary for almost my entire saved game. I didn't realize at first that I could drag them away, so I'm going to have to try that later.

Yup, I'm on xbox too and it's already started to happen to me and I've noticed frame rate issue's. I'll be downloaded a mod as soon as it's out on xbox to fix this now that I know it's possible to get rid of them through modding. I'm might even take away the few laser turrets I have set up just so the game doesnt crash..

I was noticing that issue was still around and wondered if others were thinking about it.

I hadn't even thought of the long term effect laser turrets in settlements would have. That will make a real mess for some people.

This is the kind of thing that makes it really hard to take Bethesda seriously. I mean I love their games but it seems like they have no quality standards.

Wait, what?

You mean, they never clean up anywhere in the game, or is it still as bad as Fallout 3?

I have a maxed out, Legendary, Two Shot Plasma Sniper that does crazy damage which I acquired yesterday and I've been melting things for excess Nuclear Material. This cannot continue to be an issue, it's why I've shelved Energy Weapons since Fallout 3, and why it's looks like I'll be doing again until we get Mods to fix it.
