Why I want more Enclave and why there's no closure with them

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 4:02 am

The main problem with Broken Steel is that it contains a huge plot hole - why does the lone wanderer have the option of destroying the Citadel with a satellite missile strike when in all the time up to that point the Enclave could have destroyed the Citadel with one button push and won the war against the Brotherhood so why DIDN'T they????? What in the world were they waiting for??????

The very second that Enclave High Command at Adams Air Force Base knew they had lost the Jefferson Memorial purifier to the Brotherhood they should have launched that missile strike on the Citadel!!!

Now if we can overlook that massive crater of a plot hole then we can easily accept another scenario that has the Enclave returning in a DLC.

I once acted like I knew about facts and what was best for others. It ended up in the worst, possible ways. I'm talking code black situation going beyond "A bit of a fight" or "A few bad things". And worse then "Drifting apart" or "at each others throats". I will not explain beyond that. I acted like I knew better. They got hurt. It's not about what's fact or right, it's about you acting like you know what's fact for me. And only I get to decide that. Not you. If I see something as a fact or not it's my choice, not yours.

And yes, I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. But there's a bloody good reason for it and it's my biggest pet peeve. And I know the harm of what doing such a thing can do. I'm not going to tell you how to treat others, that's your choice. But I won't stand for someone deciding for me either. I haven't even read beyond that, because, as I told you, treating me in such a manner will cause me to stop listening, as I had warned. If that changes I shall read your posts more carefully.

It's not that difficult to be president though. *Glances at Bush, Blair, Obama...* <_<

I wouldn't mind seeing a small group of Enclave Soldiers attempting to do good things, for once, in the Wasteland as a way to turn the image of them around. Possibly even having a story with them against the Brotherhood of Steel where they are fighting the BoS because of what the Brotherhood is doing (going back to their roots and generally being overpowered [censored]s/bigots). That would be a fun little DLC... Helping a small group of former Enclave or the BoS. Cause that would even effect the MQ as well or be effected by the MQ (if already done).

At least least more neutral things. The more I think about it the more I think this would be better as a mod. That way people can choose if it's something they'd like in or not without feeling left out "Because DLC". Keeps the option open and people can choose not to get it if they don't want it. And both ways it could be mixed with other mods. Might need to lack voice though and do text only like some Skyrim mods. But small price to pay. Just as long as the content/context itself is good.

Hmm *lol* at the fear of appearing attention seeking...

Noone noticed / acknowledged my alternative suggestion of using the settlement system for some sort of DLC/expansion, that lets you create your own faction in regards to existing factions.

Something like that could include the option for the player character recreate the enclave (being a prewar human) with the same ideals, gear and so forth.

Offcourse, yes it won't be THE enclave, but would let them return in spirit and being a way for the player to be "evil".

Enclave is boring. They dont have an interesting storybackground like Railroad and the Brootherhood in Fallout 4 is now Enkcave alike.

Just a thought on Col. Autumn possibly surviving or not. We do know that joshua graham was covered in pitch, lit on fire, and tossed into the Grand Canyon. He lived. So if they decide to bring the enclave back....maybe it won't be the most evil organisation? Ol josh there was Caesar's right hand man but kind of had a change of heart. If anyone is coming back in charge of the Enclave or some revitalized version, I think they could do some interesting [censored] with Col. Autumn's character.

Maybe in a DLC or something who knows.
