Inspired by settlements

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:47 pm

I was getting a little bummed out about the limits of settlement building, but today I watched a video on YouTube showing the 10 best settlements. I'm not sure how to post links, but it was from Open World Games. There are some incredible creations. I am re-inspired to create. Some people are incredibly talented. This game is so much fun!!!!!!

There you go mate! Glad to hear that. Things are overwhelming a bit at first but we will get the swing of things and getting some ideas from other players is a great way to save some hard learning experiences..

Thank you for posting it! Sorry if this sounds cheesy, but I am in love with this game. I know it has some flaws. I am not a blind fan boy, but I just focus on the best parts and there is plenty to focus on.

Settlement building can be so much fun. There are times when I am out exploring purely just to find components for building. There are limits, but if you learn how to work around them, there is so much you can do. There is no in game value to my creations, but I love it anyway. Now if I could just get Marcy Long to stop sleeping in my 4th floor bed room, this wil be perfect.

I've only been doing Minutmen missions so I can build more settlements. Every settlement takes strategy for defense. A lot of gamers don't know how to properly set one up and fail miserably. But that's another topic. (I like to enclose my settlers so they don't go out and try to be a hero).

I like to build my own deluxe suite or just even a room for me only. The Castle and Sanctuary even have a patio for Dogmeat. I have the Night Person perk so I build during the day and quest at night. It's fun. Just stack 3 flights of stairs, then lay floors down, a wall and build. I put a ladder in the room so I can access the roof. I just hate that items fall throught the floor. I stopped decorating with alcohol, weapons, gear, etc. But being 50 feet above the enemies + my VATS build makes defending my settlements fun. I put a tourette in each corner and rip my enemies apart. Then loot them all and scrap all their weapons and metal gear for more steel and wood.

So far level 36 on PS4 normal difficulty has been a blast. 12 settlements. 3 untouched because I decided to build my own bachelorette pad and decided to use the mats to build in existing settlements.
