I'm not a big fan of the settlement thing, nor do I like the building clunkiness (especially on the ps4) so I bought the house in Diamond City. It has the basic workbench, but I do not have any option to build any of the others? Even with the perks needed to build crafting stations in settlements, but still can't build them for my home in DC? Nor can I link to it via a supply line? This seems like a major oversight for those who don't care to do the building thing...

Have the same problem. You can move there, but you can't send companions back there when you dismiss them.
