These heterohomo discussion threads...

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:09 am

First of all, I am straight and I'm not against gays.

I just recently signed up to this forum after Fallout 4 announcement and it was my FIRST time coming to this forum but from what I seen so far is these gay threads with a lot of discussion in them, I entered these threads out of curiosity and I couldn't believe what I was seeing...

I ACTUALLY thought to myself... 'did I just entered gay community forum wtf...?'

I mean seriously I swear I could have seen someone saying he will not preorder FO4 because of heterosixual marriage in the beginning... lol wtf... (Can't remember where I saw that)

I'm sure some of you doesn't care about heterosixual marriage but to those of you...
I say calm the **** down Jesus Christ, we don't know much about Fallout 4 and stop posting so many weird cry raging threads/posts or else you'll scare newcomers away lol.

I'm not against gays but really... calm down jesus!!!

I think you are exaggerating a bit, and if you are that bothered don't click on those threads.

I really don't know why this seems to be such an issue with this game. I really do not. :-(

It annoys me that almost EVERYTHING nowadays has to 'cater' for all the possible combinations or possibilities or beliefs of people. In this case, why can't this just be how the story 'is'?

I see a ridiculous scenario where every story ever written soon will have to have mutliple versions, to account for all forms of sixuality, race, etc. etc. I mean, where does it end?

I am not exaggerating at all and I clicked on these threads out of curiosity.

Like I said, I'm not against gays.

I'm saying this as a newcomer, not as hardcoe Fallout fan.

As long as the content is not forced on us in an attempt to pander - Witcher 3 handles this is a very mature and believable manner.

But unnecessary thread is unnecessary

If that's so then isn't that their decision? Big whoop if someone didn't like a certain aspect of the game and decided to retract their $60. More power to them.

Not gonna like this second part here kinda comes off as.. ahh..

I think it's worse to make a thread complaining about people voicing their opinions. I think they are and should be allowed to make posts that voice their own concerns about the game (I know I've made quite a few of them) so long as they aren't breaking the rules that are set for the forum.

Beyond that though I won't say anymore; I ain't gonna speak for people.

You are right, this thread is unnecessary but more unnecessary gay threads will still be created.

This thread won't do anything I confess.

A person who is homosixual or bisixual might you know, want to be able to take certain aspects for granted the way a heterosixual player does all the time because "normal ".

In other words: Yes different people have different opinions based on such things as experience, etc.

I think these people just want attention. so they get on board of some silly non-issue to pretend as if its some sort of moral dillema. ignoring these sob is best to handle the situation.

Oh, I know.

These silly threads will continue to pop up because a game is not pandering to their views. Nonsense, really.

OP, you're running into the RP crowd and the vocal minority crowd.

The former tend to see the Fallout games in the same light as the Elder Scrolls and expect to be able to make and play any character they want, although this has never been a feature of any Fallout (except NV, to a point). Here's a tip: Never ask a RPer about his character; you'll regret it.

The vocal minority crowd are a common internet thing, as I'm sure you know. Bethesda has been pretty fair in this regard, if you ask me. Look at the Fallout Perks and the marriage system in Skyrim. As we still lack information about Perks and such in F4 I'd venture to say it's too damned early to start complaining.

It's completely fine that they voice their opinions, you are very much correct.

It just it's a little bit overdone. Plus I'm a hypocrite anyway.

I know right, who the hell cares. I'm getting a bit sick of all these people that seem insecure about their sixuality and need to have their sixuality represented everywhere so they don't feel different or insecure. Get out. I mean if Fallout 4's story decided you at one point would be gay and would marry another man I would be like oke that's random, but I wouldn't go crying on the forums that I feel left out because I can't be straight in A GAME. Let's say that again. A GAME.

People like this should focus on more important stuff like if it's going to be the Skyrim fiasco 2.0 with this 10-11-2015 111 release date. The same stuff happened with Skyrim and the game was unfinished and as a result of that buggy as hell.

I have to admit that there does seem to be a redundant number of threads on the topic. Normally multiple threads on the same topic get merged and funneled into a single thread, with others being closed down with a link to the current discussion.

I think they have every right to express what they want in a Fallout game .don't like it don't click on the thread. That said FO4 is pretty finished at this point and I doubt they will go back and allow you to be a gay couple. My advice to those who want is to just wait for FO5(or whatever the next one is called) or TES6.

So what was FO 3 excuse? It was a train wreck to
