Railroad ending, 1 question. : Fallout 4

Finished on the Railroad ending, quick question about the Brotherhood.

I hadn't done any of the BOS questline at all as I didnt want to join, I didnt realise till late on it would become locked off so I decided to ignore them completely, finish the game for Railroad and save it for another playthrough.

So:

After I nuked the Institute, who blew up the airship?

After it arrived I never visited the location, I could see it but ignored it and post nuke some NPC conversation mentioned it had gone. I paid it a visit and for sure its a ruin.

Who did it if not me?

You can nuke the Institute without blowing up the airship beforehand?

I didnt even visit it, like I say I'm at the the point at which you choose side for keeps:

I've helped the railroad and institute to the point of either I assassinate Desimodora or start the robot rebellion

The game warns me I am about to become hostile with BOS and I chose to continue as I decided I'd do the BOS on another character. Kinda took me by surprise as at that point that they were hostile as bar the introduction mission with the radar dish I'd ignored the BOS. For the sake of the story I just carried on and later post epilogue, no Airship.

Well...I am not sure where you are in the sotry...on the one hand you say you finished the story with the Railroad and nuked thei Institute, on the other hand you say you just now have to choose between killing Desdemona or starting the uprising, so continue on your own risk:

After securing the Digging-Site for the rebel-synths, in order for them to create their equipment, you will be warned about the BoS attacking the Railroad HQ...after repelling that attack, Desdemona will task you to destroy the Prydwen and drive the BoS from the Commonwealth. The Synth-Uprising starts only after doing that quest. At least that's how it was for me. Correct me, if I am wrong and you can in fact destroy the Institute before killignthe BoS (or the Railroad if you are siding with the BoS).

Dont worry I've finished it, and I remember that mission but I never did this bit:

........Desdemona will task you to destroy the Prydwen and drive the BoS from the Commonwealth. ........

Everything else happened as you said but seemingly that bit I didn't do, takes place anyway, but I can't for certain say when as other than post epilogue some NPCs making mention there's certainly no big event that happens to signify it.

I have a saved game I backtrack to, might have another go at the same ending and see what happens.
