Voiced dialogue: what have you done Bethesda!?

It's a valid gripe (and mine as well), but not for any roleplaying game... It's a problem for those that don't feature a fixed PC. If the PC is a fixed identity, then the fixed voice does not limit the script; and most likely it's well cast for the role. :shrug:

It would be sad indeed. How on Earth did this idea come about (and for both of you)? A voiced protagonist is no reason of itself to be ashamed of a game. That's not what the post implied; the post was an answer to a specific assertion that was quoted.
