I pre-ordered the limited edition strategy guide, as well as a Brotherhood of Steel Pop figure. I think I will be perfectly happy with those.
Same here, ordered the LE hardcover strategy guide, the Art book, A vault-tec Hoodie, and a Nuka cola Beer mug. All things I can (Hopefully) get more use out of than I would the pip-boy Edition.
Briefly considered the pip-boy edition when it was announced, but with its size, and my skinny wrists, I couldn't see it being comfortable let alone useful while playing with mouse and keyboard.
There are so many awesome Fallout 4 items available that I tend to forget all about the Pipboy Edition.
I think I will have the opposite problem heh. I have thin, skinny arms which will need an insert to stop the thing falling off my wrist.
THAT SAID, if you look at the thing on the wrist of the E3 demonstrator you can see that the thing is hanging really loose on his arm... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KApp699WdE<---- go to 1:23: 10
Also if you see the thing ingame you can see that the vault jumpsuit has LEATHER WRISTBANDS on both arms as well as there being a padded interior to the Pip-Boy itself... so there should be a way to make it fit even Arnold Schwarzenegger's arms at the height of his Terminator days. PLUS the wrist latch will probably adapt for different thickness of wrists...
Oh and the reason for the leather bracers is so the Pip-Boy fits snug and doesn't chafe... or flip around the arm because the balance looks really weird.
And finally... I wonder how many broken screens does Robco have to deal with considering having to do melee combat while wearing the thing... then again, Robco have probably folded... Hehe... that would be a good story line. You break your Pip-Boy so have to hunt for a new screen.
Edit: I meant bracers instead of greaves. Greaves are for legs while bracers are for arms. My memory svcks!
Was touch and go with this thread so apologies if I missed something crucial, but anyways:
I'm fine with the limited quantity of pip-boy editions. As someone (perhaps multiple people) pointed out - they're the collector's edition. There should be fewer of them. However, I'm not fine with people being able to buy more than 1 or 2 at a time or even at all. It's the collector's edition - you should buy it because you want it, not to flip it for a buck.
On the other hand, if I read it correctly, I wouldn't be upset with your buddy at Gamestop. He's pretty much gotta do what he's told. So if a customer wants to buy 10 of something and there's no policy in place against it, there's little he can do about it.
This post pretty much sums it up for you, Artmokey87
