The proposal that might be interesting for developers and pl

Hello everyone, I'm from Russia so I apologize in advance for my English.

It is not a question but more a suggestion for the developers to boost interest in the game and increase transit time.
It would be interesting to collect the car, not just anywhere and from any parts, and certain parts scattered across the map and only after the construction of the garage. It would be interesting to collect in every detail: there is a view of the engine of several components (pistons, engine block, spark plugs and such), just the body and chassis. But it wasn't easy, and had to work hard. All of this would be an additional incentive to take in the game.
Now 2015 and it would be very interesting for those who know and remember is 1998, when fallout2 also, you could use the car after it is repaired.

Question to the players - would such a possibility in the game? Me personally Yes, because I remember Fallout 2 and remember that a car can carry everything you need with you

They (the developers) already said there will be no working cars in fallout 4... but they are unnecessary anyways as their functionality was replaced by the airships/vertibirds instead which you can apparently call to pick you up.

The background reason the cars are dead is due to the EMP from the nukes going off... It would have caused an induction in the vehicle electrics and burned the thing out. Vertibirds and military trucks should still be working because they would have been hardened against the pulse.

In fact in Fallout 3 you see various military trucks around (I saw some Brotherhood of Steel trucks marked up as such and surely they weren't around before the bombs dropped because the BOS formed after). These trucks would probably been used by the NPCs... Just because they aren't player drivable doesn't mean they aren't running in the game world. The reason I think this is because their tyres aren't flat and rotting off the hubs. After 200 years they would have been history from dry rot (lol... pun unintended).

The real reason why no vehicles in Fallout... because the game engine doesn't support it maybe? You know the metro train in the Fallout 3 game is actually a HAT?... and when you ride in that train you are riding in an NPC's hat lol. That was in the Gamebyro engine though so I don't know why no vehicles in Fallout 4. http://www.pcgamer.com/heres-whats-happening-inside-fallout-3s-metro-train/

One vehicle I would have thought would be PERFECT for post apocalyptica... and that would be THE HUMBLE PUSHBIKE. Yeah, why no bikes? They would have been perfect for the game.

Beth has indeed confirmed there will be no drivable vehicles, one motivation being that they didnt want to feel restricted when designing the game world.

No one from developers nor their minions are reading forum posts. So any suggestion is pointless.only time you see forum moderators is when they need to close thread or punish someone for adress them slightly critical.

+1

With my 50s style bike with a basket on the front, in Power Armour, sporting a mini gun, I could have ruled the wasteland!

So I mean one car that will be difficult to collect, but it will work and be suitable for wastelands). There must be some working copies of spare parts, even in a single case))
Again, for those who might be interested, it is not required the passing game and just for fans of the sandbox.

The hat train doesn't say anything about the engine's capabilities. Only that Bethesda didn't want to spend the time programming a real train for a short sequence in a DLC, so they got creative. If they included vehicles in Fallout, I'd imagine they'd function similarly to horses in Oblivion and Skyrim... kinda.

But yeah, they'd have to really change the design of their worldspaces to accommodate vehicles. Imagine driving through the outskirts of DC in a car.

Actually I wonder if it is to slow you down enough so that the engine can load the next area you are approaching. If it was GTA 5 it would do it easy, but because of the sheer number of items scattered around the place you would hit numerous "LOADING" screens if you was driving fast in a car... at least that's my theory.

That's a big part of it, yeah. You'll see this happen if you mess with your speed in older games, or hack it in Skyrim. If we did get vehicles, they wouldn't go much faster than an Elder Scrolls horse, I'd say. Which would be a bit weird for a car, I think.

It was a good suggestion OP and good first post.

I don't think it is very practical or likely, but nice to suggest.

The http://www.madmaxgame.com/ game is available shortly, perhaps that will address your driving desires?

My expectations are not high, but I plan to drive around the (different) wasteland as an amusemant to pass the time before Fallout 4.
