A big head, small body mod. I want every creature in the wasteland to look like a bobblehead.

It's hard to say since I haven't actually played the game yet. However, I'm going to venture a guess and say mods that increase damage, tweak armor and increase spawns. Of course, I wouldn't mind cosmetic mods or mods that add even more options to weapon customization.

well there were a ton of NPCs in skyrim that could be married that weren't companions, along with many companions that could be married also

not really sure how having all companions be marriage candidates leads to no other NPCs being candidates... it's just an angle they want to focus on more in the descriptions

more exciting to say 'all these cool interesting companions are marry-able, look how fun and unique they are!' rather than a bland blanket descrip 'there's lots of marriage options for your character'

i mean you could be right, but i could say 'that star right there i randomly pointed at supports life' and be right, theres just nothing to really go on for it

them saying the companions are all marriage possible is in no real way saying anything about other options

unless i've missed some quote saying that the companions are the only spouse candidates in an interview

but to the OP, as a console user i'd just like some simple stuff like companions, things that give some difficulty/realism like frostfall, and more items... no big script heavy beasts or EMB juggernauts (not that they'd be for consoles anyway), but most of all the unofficial patches are what i want

Unofficial patches.

Silent protagonist.

Alternate start.

Don't know enough about the game to know what else I'd be after.

I'll buy it once it goes on sale, so by then there probably will be many mods around.

I played The Old Republic for a while, and this was a major problem I had with the Jedi Consular storyline. I'm supposed to run across the galaxy to find a cure for this woman that I've had maybe two interactions with, the second of which was her falling ill? Where's the emotional connection? Why should I care? If you want me to feel invested in this, you need to set up a lot more than one pre-illness scene to establish that connection.

So yes, I can see where Redguard King is coming from. It's likely that your spouse and child will be more important than just a couple of bit characters during the tutorial.

EDIT: As for mods I'll be looking for, UI and Unofficial Patches will be the first and biggest. From there, we'll see what is on offer. Assuming, of course, that my PC can even run the game. While the official system requirements haven't been released, there's a site that has some speculative requirements, and apparently, while my CPU and RAM are fine, my Graphics Card needs to be upgraded. Don't trust this as far as I can throw it without the official statement being released, but it may be time to look into upgrading my graphics card (it's an AMD Radeon HD 7800 series, if anyone wants to offer any advice on how horrid it is).

As I've said various times, I get mods to fill needs.

I don't know what I need, because I do not know what I'm getting. If I see a need, I will seek to fill that need.

Though with the modding system alone for weapons, I'm going to be hyper critical of weapon mods. Like, I'm not going to waste time with weapon mods of real world guns, unless the modder takes into account being able to slap it on the workbench and let me frankenstein that mother like I can vanilla weaponry.

Not gonna waste time on player home mods anymore, because now I can do that myself, although I will be interested in mods that add items to base creation...because those are always cool.

I'll have to play it first but a mod I'm definitely looking forward to is a UI mod to hud make elements smaller and take better advantage of screen space (think DarNified UI or SkyUI). The last time Bethesda designed a decent UI for these kind of games it was in Morrowind. Ever since MW they've just made UIs bigger and more annoying to use.
