is Sole Survivor a veteran?

It seems as if we are Power Armor trained already, since we are still fresh in our vault suit when we apparently help those guys using a power armor. That would require some training.

While it might make more sense for us to start off with a few levels and other skills set, I'd rather start my character with a clean slate ... just in case he was a pencil pusher.

Or Todd is in Todd God Mode and just chose to wear a vault suit for the demo. Or gave himself the required perk. Or maybe you don't need a perk for this specific quest. Or something completely different. Too many unknowns still.

You could probably make a case that all US army recuits would get basic Power Armor training and you also make a case that given the decade long war with China that almost everybody would have served at some point and therefore would probably have had some basic knowledge of Power Armor unlike a kid who grew up in a vault with no knowledge or training in Power Armor.

I believe so. Why else would Howard/Nora be speaking in a Veteran's Hall? Or have a Veteran's Memorial flag in his/her home? I also suspect that he/she fought at Anchorage.

True. But seeing the American flag folded into a triangle, hung on a wall in the living room is good evidence.

My guess is that in the event of an expected nuclear war, there is a high probability that anyone found living right near a vault is

involved with the military on some level.

I'm guessing thier trait would have power armor training since we don't entirely know how ih the demo was able to use it.

Veteran's Halls, here anyway, are rented out for whatever, maybe the protagonist is giving a speech at a wedding. Selling a multi-level marketing program? Who knows.

Seriously though with all that other evidence yeah they are probably veterans :).

I think he's there to give the speech mentioned in the Kokatu leak, which is about his fear of the inevitability of nuclear war. Worst. Wedding Toast. Ever.

Or if this is a convention to honor veterans of Anchorage, then worst veteran-honoring speech ever. :P I don't think he should be allowed to give speeches anymore. :P

That audition script is years old, and maybe have been used literally just as an audition piece. Not sure it still exists in its current form, or at all.

Based on the information theirs been a few immediate family members who were awarded veterans and my guess is one of the protagonists (male) followed in their footsteps and met the other while there (and eventually got hitched).
