Are mods confirmed to be coming to ps4?

Was wondering, since I saw a video on YouTube saying it was confirmed but was unsure.

To my knowledge: No, it has not yet been confirmed. However unless something has changed still very likely.

Nothing is confirmed on that regard. However, I'm pretty sure Beth is in talks with Sony in order to bring mods to PS4.

I think Sony is taking a, "wait and see" attitude. They are currently winning this gen console wars so they have less to lose by not diving into something they have actively avoided for decades (user created content on the Playstation product line). They have to weigh the potential downsides (loosing control of content limitations on their platform and the potential PR nightmare that could accompany that) and Microsoft is giving them a risk free test on whether Bethesda can deliver what they promise to both customers and console manufacturers.

Keep in mind that while modding is a big deal with players that frequent the internet, the larger segment of gamers do not use modding. Bethesda has released what it claims are latest estimates and they find that somewhere between 6% - 8% of PC game purchasers ever load a single mod. I think that number is a bit low, but even if it's HALF of the actual numbers, that puts it at less than 20% being OVERLY generous and while that figure is far from insignificant, it is also not anywhere close to an overwhelming percentage.

My take is the short answer is: No, but Bethesda says they are still working (or at least willing to work) with Sony to make it happen.

My take is that how the "work" with Sony pans out is going to be influenced a LOT by how modding on the Xbox One turns out.

Pretty much this...If Sony doesn't allow Mods it really won't hurt. As M$ is behind still they're willing to lose some control in the hopes some PS4 users will jump ship just for 1 game. I think it might be a later thing for Sony to allow it. Let M$ be the test subject and if it bombs they'll look golden to their community. If it works and is stable they'll jump on board more then likely.

Last I heard was that Beth hadn't even looked at making the Geck and wasn't sure if it would be possible to make it work cross platform :/ I'm not sure we will hear much till the games out and they announce the Geck.
