how do I patch on pc? : Fallout: New Vegas

I have read that a patch is out for the PC version (which is the version I play) and Im just wondering how do I download the patchs?If I remember right with Fallout 3 with had to download it of the site but I don't notice any patch downloads so what do I do?

Since it is a Steam based game, the patches will automatically be downloaded through Steam.

Ohhhhhh ok thanks bud I wasn't to sure!So when I hear about a patch should I restart steam just incase?
