Fallout 4 Karma The regulators or Who Else?

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 7:47 pm

So way back in earlier fallout games they each had their little unique way of karma it was your were either a very good person or a very evil vault dweller. i think if karma is coming back how do you think their going to set it this time, i do not know if there is a thread for this. I must say is karma going to change in many ways or is it going to decide the fate of your character throughout the whole game of fallout 4, from doing good, to being neutral or to becoming the most evil demon in fallout 4. Which for example when you blow up megaton you seem to be told by the regulators they have a contract with your name on it . I think fallout 4 may be just like this not to sure though, I've seen many things for the game myself, but likewise i can't say i seen anything about the karma system and how it works. Has anyone read anything about karma in fallout 4 or is it a secret to this day?

Yeah, we still have no idea what's happening with karma. We barely know that it's even still in the game from offhand comments the voice actors made in interviews.

Regarding the Regulators and Talon Company, I'm not a huge fan of death squads that come after you simply for having the a karma or reputation that they didn't like. It was kinda cool in Skyrim when death squads would come after you for specific actions, though. I guess my problem was that you were going to get a death squad after you in 3 or New Vegas regardless of your choices, unless you deliberately stayed neutral. I don't really like that kind of equity between karma choices, I think, which I felt was a problem with karma in 3 (and reputations in New Vegas, to a lesser extent).

Yeah, I pretty much hated the frequency that I would run into people with a bounty on my head in FO3 and New Vegas. I would prefer it so that they either occur less frequently, like, no more than once a month in-game, or have it occur on a frequency based on your level or how many times you killed those trying to claim your bounty, to reflect that those you are opposed to are less likely to try and hunt you down, due to your reputation in skill and bounty hunter killcount.

Not me, I quite enjoyed destroying assassination squads every time they showed up. I also looked forward to looting their corpses once they were dead so I could make more caps.

Talon Company: "There he is! Blast him!"

Me: "Not you guys again. Seriously, I can take you on by myself. You need to be smarter than this."

Fawkes: "AYYYYYEEEEEEE"

*pain ensues*

This is how it always ended. It got boring and kind of unrealistic after a while. If they had better AI and were smarter about ambushing me...then I would've been cool with it.

I suppose when you put it that way it's a fair statement. The A.I could use some upgrading in general. Hopefully they did that with Fallout 4.
