yesterday i started a new topic simply stating the troubles i was experiencing in the gameplay, which includes massive framerate stutter when im walking in the wasteland (even when reading 60 fps) to the point where it causes a headache to look at, the sky cuts in and out, character animations slow down and stutter when i run or walk, i can only asign one shot in v.a.t.s. even when my AP if full (very.. very annoying) and textures malfunctioning or not loading. i know this is no new news, but last night i tried that d3d9.dll (or whatever) patch from new vegas nexus, and ill tell you what, it wasnt perfect, but it made it a HUNDRED times better.. i was actually able to sit down and play and actually enjoy it for a good few hours before work. however, this afternoon steam automatically "updated" fallout new vegas, since then, it has gone back to running just as horrible as it was before the .dll fix. worried that the .dll file was conflicting with the new vegas automatic update through steam, i decided to cover all of my tracks as i completely uninstalled new vegas, reinstalled it and played with the automatic steam update patch only ( not with the .dll fix) and what do ya know? still runs like crap. i would like to know if this patch actually did ne thing for ne one? So now ever since the update, new vegas runs like crap regaurdless if the .dll fix is in my new vegas folder or not. i would have rather not been forced to download an udpate when the .dll fix was working fine for me. With my system specs (below) a game like new vegas should have its balls handed to it. has ne one else who used to .dll fix noticed the same thing i did? and does anybody know if they're working on a patch that will actually make this game playable? does any one have any suggestions?
