I would love to get armor for dogmeat let him stay in the fight a bit longer. simple leather or makeshift from parts of riot gear. something with real stats and effects like human armor. same with codsworth Id like to get it some upgrades like thicker armor or better attachments for it's hands

Somehow I have the feeling that we will see a [censored]-ton of dog outfits on Nexus as soon as the CK gets released.

So you want, "Dog Armor" DLC?

I think someone tried something similar to that in the past....

Even though I'm the OP, I'm not too excited about this. It would be nice to have some nice K-9 SWAT armor or a big spiky collar, I guess. I'm more interested in the possibility of putting the dog accessories on human NPCs, just to humiliate them.

I'm still upset that I couldn't make Boone wear Tabitha's wig.

As long as its sensible like a bandana around the neck I'm fine. Nothing says All American High School Running Back Anti-Communist Working Joe's Best Friend like a bandana around the neck. Bonus points if it's the ol' stars and stripes.

With that in mind, I highly doubt any outfit we can put Dogmeat into will top DD's bad-ass eyepatch.

Actually i'd be fine with bulletproof vests for dogmeat, or doggie saddle bags. Not as paid dlc, but just something in the base game. You can give your companions better gear (id assume anyways) so you should be able to armor or improve your dog.

These could be a starting point

https://www.google.com/search?q=Police+and+Military+K-9+armor&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CCgQ7AlqFQoTCPXE266DkcgCFYKKDQod87QFzw&biw=1536&bih=755

Check out the K-9 Storm Intruder rig on the Shepard 2nd top left. Click on it. That periscope mast has a RC IR video camera that allows a handler 1/4 mile back to see and hear what the dog does and give the dog spoken directions via radio, using a tablet rig.

Such a rig working through your Pipboy would give a properly trained Dogmeat (and you) the ability to do a great many tasks that are otherwise impossible. The camera view in your Pipboy screen wouldn't even have to include your dog's head, it could be your first person view just framed by the Pipboy screen.

Maybe we should ask for a recon stealth suit to go over this rig. So you can work as a team You provide a distraction while Dogmeat in stealth mode grabs something special you need.

Definitely, since we should able to armor up our human companions and they ( like in FONV) could have quest you assist them with that upgrade them with better weapons/armor or abilities. I just hope we get a something like that for dogmeat or he become kinda underwhelming Imo.
