robots and other mechanical objects damage

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:43 am

I have noticed that when robots and other mechanical s get damaged they

bleed, they dont blow up in a shower of sparks and debris. Will that be addressed in the main game.

at least some things still go boom, my 2 cents...

What are you talking about? We've only seen a few shots of any robots getting shot at, and none of them bled.

If it's any consolation, they've talked about how they modeled all of the insides of robot parts for when players blow them apart.

Synth enemies appear to have their faces get mangled if they take damage there. Don't know if that's like what you are talking about.

Welcomes Bricbrak...

An odd post but made me wonder wait a sec, how will we revive Codsworth?? if he should fall

( I am under the impression That I think I read if you companion goes down you need to stim pack em to get them back on there feet...)

There might be a hardcoe mode where Companions die, but from what I understand Companion death just means that they are out for just the fight. Unless you use a stimpack to revive them and get them back in action. I remember some interview where Codsworth had his inside modeled as well which I assume is mostly for showing damage unless Robotics Expert can let us open up Codsworth to upgrade him.

I somehow doubt that Codsworth is the only robot companion. It is the Commonwealth so there should be a Synth companion. So either robot companions will require their own repair consumable or we have to use our suspension of disbelief on how a stimpack can heal a robot.

I don't think so. I've seen a speculation video where they point out that weapons have no condition meter, but they show that some weapons appear very rusty while others don't, suggesting a possible corrosion based repair system. Not sure if this is what Akirodo is referring to though.
