Fallout 4 Pre-order Dlc Now?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 7:11 am

True, and I'll mostly likely vacate the forums after release. The hard part will be trying to restrain myself from reading every little detail before I own it. With Fallout 3 and New Vegas I waited for the GOTY without knowing anything about the DLC and it was amazing. I was still playing the base game regularly at the time so it wasn't a difficult wait. I'm currently waiting for the inevitable Mortal Kombat X and Dying Light's Complete Edition.

I should note that Fallout 4 is my most anticipated game of all time so it is not out of the realm of possibility that I won't purchase the DLC as it releases. If you really want something you should get it, I'm just fastidious about not having all content bundled in one package.

I know I can trust Bethesda to release good DLC content, but still... It feels too weird to buy something before seeing what the product is.

I'll wait for a dlc and if I like what I see then I'll get the season pass.

To me, it's just a potentially cheaper way to buy something that I'm already going to buy. I have bought everything Bethesda has ever released and I know I will buy all of Fallout 4's DLC as well. If a Season Pass is a cheaper way for me to do that, I will do it.

That said, Bethesda is the only game studio I would consider buying a Season Pass from. I would not even consider such a thing from any other developer.

Love it, not sure who owns that trademark though.... :)

I pre-ordered the PC version of the base game from Amazon in July and I am happily watching the price drop with the pre-order guarantee.

With regards to dlc, I will wait until I have actually installed the game before making a decision on whether to get the dlc season pass or not.

I have wasted money on dlc in games previously where never played the extras given. The Fallout dlc has never been wasted though, I have always loved and played the dlc that has been added.

Haha, it's a riff on Blizzard's frequent responses in case you didn't know. "Soon" was used to such an extent that the WoW player base picked it up, adding the trademark. Even some Blizz employees have used the trademark occasionally (in complete jest of course).

Like $80-90 for a game and it's expansion pack, 15+ years ago? I wish all the things I buy had that low a price increase over time.

I plain on getting the season pass, but I want to see how the main game goes, if it goes smoothly then I will.

Did they state how much and what type of content will be in each DLC?

Not really. The closest they came to was mentioning their previous dlcs. So content wise we can reasonably expect anything from hearthfire to dragonborn. In the end it will be worth it if you plan on either modding or using mods. If not, a wait and see approach might be best. God knows I'd never have bought hearthfire if other mods didnt use its content.

Don't no how much dlc content will be but Bethesda for the first time will offer a season pass? And if so that would be the best way to go.

Hell, I'd pay $30 for just all the loot and unique weapons that always come from their DLC lol I'm sure it'll be well worth it
