Can we get a clarificaiton on the compaion limit incl dog?

we know that there will be a one companion limit in the game, but does this include your dogas well?

In the previous Bethseda falllout games (3/NV) they allowed you to have a human + dogmeat, so I am wondering if we will be able to do that again? since this time around (From the videos) dogmeat seems more useful for combat and things.

Yes, it includes dogs and robots. One at a time.

Confirmed as being one, but this is the default setup when we start the game. There could well be an option to add an additional companion at a later stage, which would be level locked behind one of the Charisma perks. This could then be balanced by an increased bonus with the Lone Wanderer perk, also level locked behind one of the higher ranks.

In short: Bethesda has not revealed anything to do with this yet. Any other answers are mere speculation.

My suggestion on http://vault111.com is that the second rank of Inspirational will allow for 1 additional companion. I had previously suggested a total maximum of 3, but this seemed a bit overpowered (even with level locking), and so I changed rank 3 so that our 2 companions would instead work better together. This may of course be completely wrong, but I will leave the description as it is until launch, and will update it with official info when we have it

From what I've been told, the second rank of the Charisma Perk Inspirational lets us bring an additional companion.

Nevermind, already said

See my post above, this is still speculation at this stage.

The impression I got from the wording in interviews is that we can have one companion, that's it, which kinda makes sense, Dogmeat has more functions to him this time around, heck there is even a perk that makes him even nastier, so I recon he can stand on his own four feet this time.

To be honest, I'll be more than happy even if we can only have one companion at a time for the entire game. Speculating is certainly a lot of fun, but I do have every faith in Bethesda to deliver the goods, and so I'm not at all worried about this. It will actually be very cool getting to know all of the companions that have been included and seeing how they can each handle various situations.

I would think this also ~ since that is the way they've handled it in past games. I really think it would be awesome if we can have at least 2 companions as before, and go around tearing up enemies with our own little posse.

Don't forget about mods (on all platforms) making this possible in the future. ;)
