Randomization for FO4?

No talking about wasteland encounters because we all know those are randomized, but rather NPC characteristic- some NPC's personality may be traitors or friendly in some playthroughs. All randomized from the start of the game rather than player actions so that no two games have the exact same NPC's acting the same way, Which do you prefer?

Bethesda games have always used some degree of randomization, although generally it's with loot and (to a minor extent) enemy spawns. Skyrim added to this with Radiant Story, which enabled certain quest locations to vary based on what dungeons we've already cleared. Then there are the random encounters they added with Fallout 3, which can produce some interesting scenarios.

I like Bethesda's current ratio of random/procedurally generated to hand-made with love. I think there's a lot of potential to the Radiant Story system that wasn't tapped in Skyrim, but I think we'll see more of it in Fallout 4 and in a more intelligent way.

As for given characters, I'd rather they have a personality I can appreciate that defines their choices, rather than the arbitrary RNG god deciding whether they're a dike or not.

You mean generic NPCs or NPCs that are named and have specific roles? Because it would be really difficult to randomise the personality of an NPC who is designed to act in a certain way towards the PC and has a particular role to fill in the story.
