Ok, can't take it anymore... every once in awhile, there's a "boom" noise. Not nearly as loud as "WAKE UP YOU"VE HIT A NEW LEVEL" boom but loud enough to get your attention, and almost inspire the thought, "I didn't see a frag mine!" First thought it was an alert for nasty business coming up but now it's happened many times without trouble for my character. What's up with dat?

Are you outside whenever this happens? Chances are a nearby eyebot was just destroyed.

It could also be someone or something (Super Mutant, Sentry Bot, etc) shooting a missile at something.

This happens to me alot it usaully turns out to be a random explosion for no apparent reason

recently got in a fire fight with an enclave soldier tehre were no robots or mines or grenades thrown i was useing lincolns repeater and for no reson teh enclave exploded and started flying toward me (rather dead and arm less)

There is a big rumble sound that happens once in a while, that is what i thought he was talking about, it is like a deep bass rumble, and when you are in the underground it is deeper and louder.

There is a big deep bass rumble sound around Rivet City. That is the sound of the ship moving in the water.

I don't recall ever hearing a rumble in the Subway tunnels.

I always asume that it's an eyebot being used for target practice or a group of raiders attacking something with grenades. It could also just be a random "ambient" affect designed to set the mood. It is a war-torn wasteland after all.

i have always thought it was caused by stray bullets hitting a car durring a shootout. And then the car goes boom.
