Why did you pre-order Fallout 4?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 9:50 am

Just because I could, not only did I pre-order, I also pre-rated the game 5 stars on Xbox One.

'cause F4 is really the only thing I've looked forward to in the past decade or so.

Probably for the same exact reason hundreds of different games are preordered every year, a reasonable amount of faith that the game will be good given what we've seen. I loved Far Cry 3 so I preordered Far Cry 4 after seeing some gameplay. I was reasonably satisfied and in no way regretted buying into it before having more of a look. Now this new Far Cry being tribal/primitive doesn't interest me at all, so I won't be preordering it. From what I've seen, Bethesda would really have to mess [censored] up to ruin it for me.

The swag.

... oh, don't look at me like that! The pip-boy might be a cheap gimmick, but that's because my phone can fit in it and make it real-ish.

And I was hyped with the announcement trailer, and sold with the E3 presentation.

Easy since i play Morrowind back then i havent been disappoint of any of the game Bethesda have made, after going to steam and watching that i have 600+hs on Fallout 500+hs on Skyrim, and i know that pre-ordering this game was the right think to do for me.

Plus i know my expensive i know Nov will be a expensive month for me so i pre-order it on Oct that my credit card was more free.

I almost dont pre-order game, i only trust 2 companies with it, one is Bethesda and the other is Blizzard.

Power armor with minigun video is the closest to something I have always wanted to play in a game and even if the entire game was like that, I'd still buy it.

I pre-ordered because there was no way I was going to wait for a pre-loved copy to turn up in a sale at my local gaming store! Besides it releases on my birthday and I'll get 4 days solid gaming in before I have to 'share' the console with my three kids! LOL and as an added bonus, perhaps now I can bring myself to finish off FO3 and New Vegas! Didn't want the adventure to end. The kids have been warned, NO SICK DAYS FROM SCHOOL!

I always preorder collector edition of games that I think are going to be good, from as far back as Baldurs Gate. I also can't stand the idea that I'll miss out on things in the game that are included in them, but aren't in the standard game until they put it in a paid DLC.

I never pre-order anything. I always put down a $5 reserve order though.

I pre-ordered because despite all my comment to the negative about FO3 and NV, i know that i will get enought fun out of it for some time to be worth it for me personaly. Will there be things i dont like? Sure!. But in the end i expect that i will find the game worth my time and that i will have fun playing it. Is it different then NV or the original FO1 & 2? Yes definitly, but despite all its mistakes, i realy liked playing FO3 when it first released.

Why? Because it's Fallout. No need to explain other then the title. Even if it's the worst game of all time, still gonna support the franchise I love most.

I purchased Fallout 4 and the Season Pass on Steam Yesterday because I have not been disappointed by a Fallout or Elderscrolls Game produced by Bethesda. I am hoping I get the Prima Guide with the Map, and My Pipboy Edition before November 13 and My Weekend :fallout:

I've never pre-ordered a game (Aside from The Witcher 3), and am against pre-ordering in general, as the benefits are not typically worth it.

My reasons for pre-ordering are: (1) I want to jump right into the game on release and not have anything spoiled and this is because (2) I plan on streaming the game on Twitch and jumping right into a challenge run. On stream donations partially funded the purchase, I paid very little out of money earned in my actual job, so I'm not paying extra for a pre-order out of my own pocket.

Because I have yet to be disappointed with a Fallout or BGS game. Todd and his team have more than earned my trust and business.

Not only did I pre-order the game, but I even pre-ordered the dlc with the season pass... Why? I think fallout is enjoyable regardless for me and I have this funny tickle that tells me that Bethesda will improve upon things to an acceptable degree. I really love Fallout too..

I didn't pre-order, because I know it will most likely be full of bugs/glitches when it first comes out (Especially the PC version) I'll wait.
