Fallout 4 Do you think you beable to re-enter vault 111?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 6:51 am

I thought this was like the one quest on fallout 3 where you leave vault 101 and come back to see what's been going down after the time goes by of you doing stuff in the game. Do you think vault 111 will be accessible later or just instantly re-enter without a problem? My idea is you might be-able to re-enter but not likely sure.

I do not see why you should not be able to enter. I guess though that there will not be much to see. I guess the tutorial is in there somewhere and a couple of radroaches, the usual stuff. Probably the gnawed off the cables off your cryo-pod and that is why you woke up. Then you discover a couple of terminals telling you what happened to the rest of the vault or the vault in general. A couple of lockers, bodies, roaches or rats etc. I do not think that it is permanently sealed again afterwards. After all, I guess somebody might have just broken in and killed or kidnapped all inhabitants but you for whatever reason. Anyway you will receive the main questline there and might pick the first locks and hack the first terminals (assuming they keep this minigame, which I hope they do).

Come back anytime and explore the cryo area, the lab and an armoury/storage room. Maybe there are sealed off doors as well, or blocked hallways, that might or might not become explorable later. I think a vault you can not reenter is a wasted opportunity for story-telling, as the vaults are the most iconic things in Fallout.

Yea, shouldn't be a problem. I don't think will have much to it. Like Vault 112.

I don't see why we couldn't, but it's a matter of whether or not there's anything worth going back for. I mean...who's gonna keep us out? It's already been cleared out supposedly.

I'm not holding my breath that we'll be able to colonize a vault with the settlement feature........Pre-made...Walls already up.....Come on it's lazy...

Could be our initial home base. The first settlement is right outside the door.

I would argue our old home would be a suitable starter base...Hell, Codsworth is still holding down the fort, and the place looks no worse for wear, rather than the vault. And looking at the footage we've seen...The old neighborhood looks pretty abandoned, so I'm not sure it counts as a settlement...Not until we get our hands dirty with it of course.

Yeah I'm thinking if we don't want to dirty our hands making settlements (and getting Leadership perks, etc.) that the vault could be a default home.

Assuming there's a bed. If the Cryo theory is true, it may be pretty sparse like the Tranquility Lane vault.

We won't have anyone to keep us out, being the sole survivor.
I suppose it could explode or something, that would do the trick for keeping us out.
But aside from that, as others have said, is there nessarily anything going back for, especially since there is no one else there? There's no story to check back in on, and it's likely we will loot everything that isn't bolted down on our way out, so we can trade when we find a settlement.

If we were able to build a settlement in a vault, though...... Hmmm.

Either way if they do not let us re enter the vault some modder will eventually make a updated vault 111 or jury rig something so we can enter the vault again, could be cool to be able to re enter the vault area later on and with maybe a better skill set for our character to be able of stripping down the items in the vault for spare parts or upgrades.

You will probably be able to re-enter, but there will probably be no point. If you're really the only survivor, then whatever happens down there is finished forever once you emerge.

i think the vault will be relevant for a quest or something, so revisiting will be cool. I hope, but i doubt it, we can make Vault 111 a base.

I can see us returning to the vault later...say for something vital to the plot that existed in there...A special engine piece, some terminal data, or some other macguffin.

I think we will be able to re-enter Vault 111, but I doubt there will be anything important or notable taking place there. In Vault 101, there were plenty of people, including your best friend, inside to set up a small quest.

I was under the impression the vault was exploding while you were escaping...I'm not sure why I thought that...

It'd be cool if Vault 111 was a handy and nifty place for home base / storage at the start of the game.

You gotta have vaults!

I would agree, but think of vault 101, how you had to come back and help people, my thoughts are someone like a mad scientist might take over the vault and threatened you.

There might be a few object that may be important inside vault 111

You may be right, vault 101 seemed like a real home. Untill you left of course, but in all general i do believe you could re-enter at some point.

I would have to highly agree with you on that.

That would be upto the modders to build inside vaults, i don't think there going to let us do that.

Maybe a quest to go back and get one of those games for you pip-boy or maybe your pip-boy gets taking over and you got to prevent it from happening.

I'd live in the vault for a while if we can.
"Legend has it that there is a monster sleeping down in abandoned Vault 111 ready to wake up and grab bad little children who wander too close to the entrance!"

Whatever it is that sets up the player's story happens down there. I'd be surprised if we didn't need to revisit it at some point.

So we can bury them properly, we'll have to return to retrieve the bodies of our spouse and child. And that third body that looks so puzzlingly like us.

My first thoughts are "yeah, why not?, but then again maybe not. I think it has been said we get to reset our SPECIAL stats before we exit the vault, like when we left 101. If this is the case, I don't know that we would be allowed back inside. It could be that the vault has some sort of failsafe that keeps people out, but allows you to exit. If you could come and go as you please, what would keep others from entering during the 200 years you laid there like an ice cube tray? Maybe you discover a code if you snoop around that will let you come back, or it just locks you out.

Either way, look at everything, inside everything, and on everything for whatever remains of use. If there is a code, it is likely in the overseer's office.

Vault 101 was still active and occupied during Fallout 3. Vault 111 is pretty much just a big hole in the ground when you leave it. I suspect that if we can get back in, it will be unusable as a base and pretty much be similar to exploring any other abandoned Vault. That is to say, there will be some items that may be worth scavenging and some computer records that give us an idea of what when wrong.
