My first release PC game

I have played Bethesda games (almost exclusively) since Oblivion. I have only recently purchased a gaming PC, and this will be the first time I will start one on a PC.

I'm wondering what I can expect to be different from a console release. I know MODS come later, but what about other aspects of the PC experience? For instance, I have Archive Invalidation active on my computer. Do I need to disable that for Fallout 4?

I guess, the question is: What should I do to prep for the release while still running HEAVILY modded TES and FO games? And, for fun...what kind of additional awesomeness can I expect on day one?

You don't need to do anything to prep for Fallout 4, whatever mods and settings you have for other games will have absolutely no bearing on how FO4 will run.
