I was hoping someone could tell me the best place to get all synth gear early on in the game. I am on my second play through on my Xbox one and I just walked out of the vault pretty much and I am currently wanting to make him as if he was a synth and I have no idea where to find synth armor and synth field helmets this early on in the game.

Gotta find dem Synths man! Try checking out some of the ruined buildings surrounding Diamond City.

I do but they don't drop anything but there institute rifles no gear, I was wondering if there is a store or a place where there gear is guaranteed.

Sadly synth armor is basically a leveled thing, so ya cant really get any until either ya high enough level so synths start spawning with armour, or work through the main story until ya can work for you-know-who faction.

I found Fort Hagen a plethora of synth armour. I primarily wear upfraded synth armour.

Damn well that svcks I would have at least liked to have the field helmet to at least have the synth look off the bat but alright. Is the C.I.T Ruins the old institute college ? I want to at least try there old location to try and find something.

It's a level thing & I am not sure when it opens up... just keep plugging away

Mahkra Fishpacking (NE corner of the map) is a great place to find a synth field helmet. Not sure if encounters are leveled there, but I came away with 3 synth field helmets. They look awesome when combined with combat armor.
