How about that Alien Blaster?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 3:28 am

We have seen the Alien blaster and aliens in the E3 preview concept art. But how hard will it be to find? Will it be underwater or on land? Or perhaps will we go into space to find it. Im kinda leaning towards space (due to the astronaut outfit and different types of aliens) Give me your thoughts!

I am hoping Firelance is making a return, but I think the Institute will have an Alien Blaster hidden away in a lab.

I'm hoping that alien weaponry will end up as top tier energy weapons and modifiable at endgame.

I'm not sure I would be willing to pay the upfront cost to get an Alien Blaster, even if the Sole Survivor doesn't have the memories of the Lone Wanderer. That last trip on an Alien Battlecruiser just wasn't my thing.

It'll probably be found in a special encounter that you can only find based on having really high luck.

I'm holding out hope for a sunken spaceship that you can enter…. Finding one in GTA:V while cruising in a sub was one of the best surprises I have had gaming in a while, sadly it was nothing more than a piece of scenery.

Agreed.. I had no idea that even existed til I saw a YT video of it few years back. Which then got me thinking what else was there. On Fallout 3, after playing for many years. Last month, I finally had my random encounter with Uncle Leo. Better late than never I suppose.

That would be cool!

there is no end game in bethesda games and the top notch weapons could mostly all be had early on, you could go get the alien blaster right away in fallout 3, same with the plasma rifle or the gauss rifle, i always made a point to get the good weapons asap, even in NV you could get the gauss rifle anytime and plasma rifle for that matter, same with the black hawk, there's not really any weapons they make you wait for the main quest to be over, you could go get the gatlin laser in the deathclaw sanctuary anytime you wanted.

Well, there sort of is. Daedric Weaponry for TES, Tesla Cannons and Anti-Material Rifles for Fallout. Sure, you COULD get all of those early in the game if you tried, but they became a lot more common the higher level you got.

The difference between the TES games and Fallout games is while you can find high-tiered weapons very early on in either game, you need ammo for most of them in Fallout. Sure, you might have a sweet Alien Blaster now, but only 50 shots and alien power cells are super rare. Arrows in TES games are universal for all bows and also most are quite abundant.

I'd rather the Alien Blaster was unmodifiable and again only had a finite amount of ammo - I think it should stay as Easter Egg status, rather than as a genuine and balanced weapon.

2 ways ...

#1 in a hidden run down lab of sorts which is heavily radiated

#2 A crashed UFO in the water or on land

Given all the alien concept art, it'd be a shame not to have one.
