fallout 4 comercial

Just saw first FO4 commercial and was pretty cool. Looked much better than what I've seen on my pc, graphics wise that is. Also said it will come included with Xbox 1. Oh, and was to the tune "the wanderer" by Dion.

It looks better than the in-game trailers because that was live action video (of the main character and the dog) spliced with CGI. None of it was in-game.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. Although it was misleading for them to describe it as "live action" since that is often used to describe real actors like the one we saw for Skyrim. It was simply a cool cinematic trailer.

It is a real actor in the video. There's just a LOT of CGI inserts in it, or green screen. I'd argue only the first two shots (street scene and the town getting radiated) are total CGI.

I've never seen it, but a few friends have which is cool. There just seems to be very little publicity, what's up with that...

I don't want you missing the big day, so I'm letting you know...it comes out on the 10th not the 11th. :)

What I love about cgi is that in it's current technology state, people have trouble discerning it from reality.. but then in five or so years, after the technology has advanced again, when you go back and watch that "old cgi" you can easily tell what is real and what is fake. Right now this is what I see, The actor and dog are obviously real,, touched up by cgi in a few scenes. At the moment I can't tell if any of the set pieces are real. The train car and train tracks looks real (except for that thing on top.) As does the puddle of water he passes by for a split second. A lot of it does look like it was actually shot outside but if any of the buildings, structures or props in those scenes are real or not.. I just can't tell. Obviously super mutants and radroaches are cgi.. I only know this because they don't exist, not because I'm seeing flaws that point them out as being cgi. It'd be cool if they released a "making of" so we could actually see.

Whats amazing is that, the original Jurassic Park, besides the opening shots of the sauropods, looks amazing.
