The Storyteller: A Fallout Lore Series

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 2:03 pm

I wanted to get to know the Fallout lore in greater detail, in prep for the the launch, and found something I had not seen before.

I've played FO3 and FONV for hundreds (maybe a thousand) of hours. But, I wanted the early details of the Fallout world in prep. I stumbled upon this site.

I have only watched the first two episodes, but must say that they are done extremely well. I can't, as of yet, verify the accuracy of the details, but they seem to tell the background very well.

I, for one, plan on watching the entire series, which entails over 50 episodes. This is not an endorsemant, nor a request to watch. I don't know the person who created this series. But, I thought others might enjoy the information.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7pGJQV-jlzD17YNNbt103xp0PkkUCoPU

If you have watched this series, please comment on anything you think could use clarification, or more information. I'm sure others, like me, would like to get a better understanding of the world we are about to enter.

EDIT: More Lore (speculation) - on very specific locations (thank you RADsMan): https://www.youtube....er/thenthapple?/a>

I don't know how I never saw this. It's really great stuff! Really something for those who want the background (with spoilers, of course). Can't stop watching it.

I would recomend the thenthapple, he is by far the best source for lore on some really minor things, e.g the legend of the El Rey motel.

Thank you! I would like to see this become the most comprehensive lore thread, if possible. I know there is a tremendous amount of information out there, perhaps this could be the quintessential compilation.

Excellent find. I've also been watching these to catch up on Fallout lore before release. Highly recommended from me as well.

I've been a huge fan of the series (entire channel actually) for a long time. In fact I discovered the channel when they were still making the first TES lore series. It's very good stuff, highly recommend it.

I dont know if its out yet but he and some people made a story teller mod for fo3 and fnv the storyteller pops up at certain areas and gives you lore info or something it looked intersting.

Yeah been following these guys since their TES series. Love their stuff.

Though granted, not crazy about the kid currently in their TES series ... nor the talking dog/gun, but oh well.

Well if then OP doesn't endorse him, I will. Best YouTube auto suggestion ever.

That guy has a real talent. Fitting all that content into one over-arching narrative, and just the right depth in each episode. Love how he fits it all into a character's point of view so he can take some artistic license.

I'm pretty sure they are using one of those many ENB mods for Skyrim. I've never bothered with them as trying to setup the script extender intimidated the hell out of me. Not that my old PC could have handled it anyway.

Excellent point. I was trying to convey that I wasn't "baiting" people to watch something I did. But, yes..I completely endorse this person's work. I had no idea he was so well known. And, am very glad i stumbled upon it.

I discovered the Storyteller series about two months ago and I absolutely love it. It only gets better after the first season.
