Did you read the thread? That would give you plenty of reasons why we're doubting, including how intrusive and bizarre it is that they'd visit tons of houses, and that's it's a waste of time and they'd have been done with models and most development by then, and they could just get blueprints from the city and homes are more based on an older time and less on the modern day. It isn't logical.

They've probably been done most of the modelling for a year+ I would think. After that placement and filling interiors. They even said they've been spending the past few months before E3 playing the game finalizing things. 3d scanning strangers homes doesn't fit into "finalizing the game" stage to me. And yeah without pics, it's just some stranger on Reddit saying it. Seriously why wouldn't you take a pic of them 3d scanning your damn house
