For most games I would agree with this, but mods are a major part of the BGS game experience for me, and many of the best mods end up having the DLC as prerequisites so I know I'll get them all before it's over. The only decision is whether to get the season pass or wait until the DLC go on sale on Steam. I'm inclined towards the season pass though simply so I can play them before I learn everything about them on the interwebs.
Physical copy for PC ordered from bol.com for € 49,99. Free shipping delivered on launch day. (Likely around noon).
Well, first I got fallout 4 on steam, then I bought the season's pass, then I got lucky and got a pipboy edition so...about $200. I'd pay $1000 though for a bethesda quality game, because I know I can get at least 2000 hours out of it.
I think adjusted to current value, around 35-40$. And I pre-order pretty much never, this might be the third time I'm doing it. I'll hold on for the season pass though, I don't like buying a jack-in-a-box.
paid 0€ yet because I still dont know If I want to buy it, If I buy games they usually are physical copies because my internet isnt the best, and if I buy the game I want the pc version for mods even if I will play with a controller, but since the pc version isnt fully on the disc I dunno yet maybe I will play/watch a friend play and wait for rerelease with all dlcs next year if they give us the fullgame on disc for pc.
Think I pre ordered for 69.99 of my fine golden loonies back when it first came online. Its up to $80 now for some weird CAD-related reasons.
Haven't got the Season Pass quite yet, even though I know for a fact ill be buying all of the DLC it kinda seems wrong on a very basic and emotional level to pay for DLC that doesn't exist yet. But meh, once they start outlining the DLC I might pick it up for the reduced cost.
By the way you might also want to alert Steam or Valve or whoever you can get to about that $1 Fallout 4 thing. Sounds 100% a scam, and getting it shut down before it gets dishonest money out of people would be Valve's job.
Including the Pip-Boy edition, 5 other copies, strategy guide, art book, and the new laptop, total is around $4,500. Worth every penny though!
Are we allowed to post where we got it? I don't wanna post but I'd like to know if anyone else knows of a good deal. Best I found now is $40 USD. I let a couple of those targetted 30% or so off codes from GMG expire, not sure if another will pop up before launch.
Speaking of GMG, for anyone that may not have heard they are ending their rewards program so any credit in your account will expire sometime in November, I forget the exact date.
90 bucks for the game on steam and the season pass, didn't want to risk not being able to preload and play the instant it comes out just to save 20 bucks.
I'm going to pay 90€ this evening for preorder on Steam...
If the game is a personal fail, then at least Beth has the money to pump it into the next TES title.
Currently, $85ish (Game and Guide at Gamestop), but I am supposed to get a small rebate for the Guide if I pick it up at the Midnight release (or day of, not sure which because I plan on going to midnight release).
53€ (58$ US) game + season pass. Ordered in summer when was better price
Fallout 4 is one of the few games actually worth it's asking price. Though I may hold out for a black friday sale instead while waiting for player feedback.
£36.57 pre order from Gameseek for PS4 (about $56US) This was the cheapest deal in the UK as of mid September.
Originally had it pre-ordered on Amazon for £39.99 (PS4) but I cancelled it the other day and added £50 to my PSN Wallet for the digital download.
I want to be ready to rock after Midnight on the 9th.
For myself, I would say around $170. $120 was spent for the Pip-Boy Edition, $23 for the Collector's Edition Guide Book, and then $25 for The Art of Fallout 4.
