It's too bad they didn't show that footage. I thought Beth was going to show that footage for the rest of us later. I guess those folks paid money to see such presentation. But frankly, now that we are close to launch, I don't really care if they don't show it. I think we already have enough info for FO4 to last us until launch. Maybe that presentation at Gamescon had significant spoilers which made Beth reconsider.

That footage was thoroughly described by journalists who saw it at Quakecon (and there was no press embargo on talking about what they saw). There wasn't anything too spoilery in it--we know quite well what happens in the footage, just not what it looks like. They're probably saving it for the last week before release, or maybe they'll show it at (or just after) release. I'm sure we'll see it eventually, but I'd love to see it sooner than later to help pass the time and give us something more to chew over.

One thing for sure, the action in that footage was intense. Although I highly doubt they will show this footage now - later would be pointless. If this footage doesn't really have anything special or spoilers, then I don't get why they haven't released it yet to the masses unless it was an exclusive footage. I think Beth is better off showing more of those animated trailers like SPECIAL. Those were neat. I'm actually looking forward after FO4 release "The Making of FO4". I love to see videos like these. I still remember the making of Oblivion.

I think they can still get some mileage out of the footage--gotta build that release-week hype to maximize sales once people can go out and grab it. I just re-read that article after I posted it... it does sound really good. We've seen some of the bits and pieces, but I'd love to see that Lexington combat and looting section, as well as that final battle with raiders, BOS, and the behemoth. I'm still hoping they might use that as a release trailer.

I for one think it's great that Bethseda are one of the few developers that actually TRY to keep things a surprise before launch. So many games these days have huge "lets plays" and other things before launch. I hope they have kept plenty of secrets up their sleeves for people to discover.Don't get me wrong, it'd be nice to see a video of just plain gameplay with nothing spoilery, but if I had to pick too much or too little at this point, I'd go with too little.

i really hate how ppl get offended by 2 lines of a twitter. Really they bother Pete with the mod questions when the game is 1 week from release...... ppl need to learn to child out and wait.
