I do the same thing. With Skyrim I got the game at midnight, spent the whole time in CC before I fell asleep.. woke up and started the game over again. I have no idea how long I spent in actual CC. I had to go through all the races, see all the options, mess with all that. . Because in F4, they said the baby looks like the parents, I'm supposing that it's probably a good idea to customize both male and female character before leaving the screen. That could take some time.

I'll watch for technical information that wouldn't ruin story. If he starts going down that path though I'll be turning it off.

No doubt my first few hours will be in the CC. It's going to really interesting to figure out how to 'copy' or 'save' a face since there's no way to count how far you pulled someone's nose or cheeks. I really hate these kinds of face gens for that reason. I imagine I'll be using presets until someone can add some modded presets I like. Would love to see the female presets though.

Yeah, I didn't think of that.. There are no numbers to write down, no sliders to compare anything to. That will indeed make things more difficult when sculpting a face. The perfectionist in me likes to keep tweaking even after I think I've found the right face just to see if I can make it better. Man, I really hope there is a save face function.

Hopefully they will have a last chance to alter appearance right before we leave the tutorial/intro a la pretty much every Bethesda game besides Skyrim. Still baffles and annoys me why they didn't let us change stuff right before leaving the cave under Helgen.
