Well the people have started to fear the count

So the people of Cheydinhal fear their Count. Most likely other cities won't fear him, rather despise him; a Count who's feared likely did something not too good and that makes propaganda all that easier, so the other Counts could easily use him as their punchbag. And then if his people fear him, there's the option of all sorts of underground groups forming trying to take the Count down. As stated before, it doesn't mean Cheydinhal is now 't3h 1337' just because the Count isn't a likeable fellow.

Everything the Anticlerian says is true. I suggest you go back and edit...

The entire story. It is far too short, no detail is given, and it is not fleshed out in the least.
Put some thought into it.

Lol, I love how you say that, it makes it seem like what you think Person from Anticlere says is wrong, when he is in fact more than right. Seriously how dare you ignore him like that, he works hard to give some criticism and you just decide to completely ignore.

Honestly go back to the drawing board and edit. You really think people are still going to join this?

No. You need much more experience before you can handle managing an RP.

It kind of depends really. Editing another 3 lines in won't do much. I doubt I'll join anyway, I'm stuggling with just one RP at the moment, but I'll have a look. But like tayroc said, you need way more experience, you can't just expect to be able to do such complicated RPs such as this.

But still, give it a try.

Land Lords

There is no Emperor. Just the counts. Some counts are starting to become greedy and want more tax. Some are hiding away in there castles. Everybody knows something's going on. Even the guilds are getting suspicious. And the arch mage is up to something in Skingrad!

4 years later the counts have formed 2 major groups Dark wolf containing: Leyawin/ Bravil/ Chedinhal and Bruma. Then there's Deep snake containing: Chorrol/ Skingrad/ And Anvil. The Imperial city has become a death trap and is over run by Bandits. Be warned if you are court they take no survivors!

What did Chriso say about editing in three more lines?

To start, you didn't tell us how long it's been since they've had an emperor. Is this right off the Oblivion Crisis, or is this significantly later?

And how did the Imperial City become overrun by bandits? It's the biggest, best defended city. Anyone who can take it over qualifies as a military group to me, not bandits. Bandits wouldn't have the willpower, the desire, or the bravery to launch a real attack on any city, let alone the biggest and best in the region. And, excuse me if I'm getting the meaning of your last sentence wrong, but if you're wealthy, they will kill you because they don't take prisoners? You do realize that bandits are not some giant evil conspiracy machine, but are in fact usually just common ruffians interested in making some money by any means necessary? Seems to me that if you were rich, they'd try to ransom you back to friends and family.

If you're trying to make it an excuse not to have the IC playable, can't you just say something like a fire or earthquake or another natural disaster devastated it? At least that doesn't strain belief as much.

And why would some of the counts just hide away in their castles? If there's no emperor, it seems to me like there would be much more room for the counts to expand their power over their cities, considering how there would be no one left to veto their laws.

Everybody knows something's going on.

Really? They'd have to be blind not to. You make it sound like it's mysterious that there's no emperor, just the counts. Well, I'm pretty sure that everyone knows the reason there is no emperor is because the Septim dynasty, and as for there only being counts: (Emperor+Counts) -Emperor = Counts. It's pretty logical that without an emperor, in a power structure composed of emperors and counts, that there would only be counts after the loss of an emperor.

And the arch mage is up to something in Skingrad!

If this has to do with the Count of Skingrad being a Vampire...

 Before I can consider joining one of your RP's man, you gotta get grammar done! If your having problems with it, type your posts out on microsoft word first.

Ummmm.... What? Between terrible grammar and a nonsensical plot, this rp is pretty much in the same place it is at the begining. not working.

It seems like person from Anticlaire wishes to help out though. He seems to be able to help out with storyline. Why don't you send him a nice friendly pm asking for his help?

OP has no 'renown' which makes me [doubt] your ability to lead a RP. (or even have competence in RPing to begin with)

That's not really a good thing to base joining an RP on.

It doesn't matter much if they show they can post but it can help if someone makes a mediocre thread if you know they can rp already

Sort of a blanket statement, but yes, if you don't even know what constitutes a good RP then you stand no hope of making one. It would be like making a commercial that is to be aired in India without any knowledge of their culture and expect people to buy your product. The general rule of thumb is reputation, but that is only because good skill makes up reputation. If you are a terrible writer and lousy RPer, then you are bound to have a bad rep. For example, Emperor of Dreams just posted his second short story fan fiction, yet I already think he is a good writer. Alternatively, I have been writing fan fics here since February, and I am not what I would call a good writer. Reputation is based on skill and past occurances of displaying that skill. Even if you were a great writer, you have shown us very little of that, and what I have seen is not entirely promising (grammar, sensibility of plot, etc.)

Take time, get inspiration, make a good idea, sit on that idea for a week, adding to it over that time, then come back and post it. Not coming back three hours later with a plot that is practically the same thing, only with two ridiculously named teams.

Oh, and I'm sorry if I sound pretentious or condescending, I swear I am not trying to be. If you could see my face you would know I was joking and smiling as I said it; a wholly good natured gesture. I'm sure everyone else feels the same and will refrain from bashing your ideas. Honestly, sometimes I think you guys are ganging up on the newer RPers. Can't blame them for wanting to start off their entire forum career with their own RP, despite the fact it is a bad idea (I myself started with fan fics; I have never created an RP, though I have three good ones in the works)

Thanks for trying, good luck making a good RP :goodjob:
