Ceaser's Legion and NCR on the game

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 11:19 am

When looking at it from such a simplistic point of view sure, but there is more to those factions than that. I could simply call Fallout 3's two main factions that conflict uninteresting and "generic" black and white. And although they are quite black and white, there is much more to consider that doesn't make that entirely so. The same goes for the New Vegas factions.

But herp a derp opinions and [censored].

i just find it more and more shocking that people think that Obsidian Entertainment can or will develop a another fallout game at this point very unlikely they have 3 games on the go and 2 of them a FTP

and they almost when Bankrupt in 2012.

i wish they would as i like both games NV and fallout 3 for different reasons but yeah prob not gonna happen again since they look like wanna start making another star wars game.

but you never know maybe beth make ton of money and contract Obsidian Entertainment with an "offer they can't refuse",

Possibly. Fallout is money in the bank. Instant hype, and a very loyal yet vocal fanbase. Plus, Obsidian handling West Coast and Bethesda handling the East Coast let's them cover more ground.

The NCR and The Legion will not appear in the game. Fallout 4 is set in the Eastern United States where as New Vegas was set in the Western United States.

No not really, Obsidian were hired to make the game and I think there was a quote from them at some point about Bethesda having full control of the canon (they basically had to run their ideas past Bethesda for approval).....Bethesda couldn't allow a second party to create canon without retaining control or we would have ended up with a totally (or even mostly) non canon game.

Indeed. It's also important to remember that Legion follows Caesar himself and not his ideals. Like Marcus said to the Courier, without Caesar the Legion will crumble eventually. Won't happen quickly but it's inevitable.

story creation ALWAYS trumps " lore "

Look at original Batman, original Superman, and even Spider-Man, heck for that mater look at the original Gwen Stacy.

Given those examples can you honestly say there's any hope for the lore being spot on 7 years later?

Fallout 4 is not a sequel of FONV.

There is too much distance between Boston and the Mojave for each of this factions to get there by the timeline of FO4.

Without considering that both of faction didn't kill each other out or didn't encounter other events on the way.

Also the NCR is spread to thin and has trouble keeping their possesions, their are not disciplined like the BoS, they don't have the menpower neither.

The legion are actualy not better then Fiends, they are primitive and don't evolve, would they even reach Boston, the local chapter of BoS would wiped them out...
