Ever since I saw the E3 combat video and the part of the mirelurk.

I had a feeling I've seen it somewhere before,till today I remember where.

They look like and move like "Garthim's" from the "Dark Crystal" movie,could be an homage to the film.

They even have the feet close look like them.

I like the look of the queens, fits better than the Kings. (and yes, I know the kings are a completely different species.)

Man thos Mirelurk moves freaky then those in FO3.

The new feral ghouls look like mutants from RAGE too, but they shamble around like zombies now.

I think these might be a new species rather than a redesign since these resemble normal crabs while the ones in fallout 3 where described as being descended from horseshoe crabs.

Holy crap, not only does that movie clip take me back to my earlier days, but the resemblance is uncanny in some ways. Good find, Brygard! And now I'm reminded about how creepy Dark Crystal was haha.

The dark crystal used to give me nightmares but it was awesome.

I miss the days of the dark crystal, the labyrinth, and the never ending story. If you showed those to kids these days they would be traumatized.

i was so used to seeing Muppet's Tv show that when I saw the movie "Dark Crystal" I was freaked by them.

Haha agreed, those are great classics. It's interesting to see the difference between Jim Henson's main production The Muppets and then the movies he was involved in with the puppets like The Dark Crystal and The Labyrinth, though he didn't do Neverending Story. They're all creepy and unnerving to me so yeah I imagine kids would be scarred haha.

I wonder if there will be other design choices which will be a nod, or at least seem like one, from other movies or shows. Farscape, anyone?

All the more reason to kill them.

I hope they have some easter eggs in the game... A robot named Olga with one eye surrounded by mirelurks would be a good one
