Not sure if this violates the no leaks rule, but for anybody saying these graphics aren't great or are barely above the last few engine iterations... what alternate universe do you live in?

(Mods, if it does violate, apologies. I accept your thread deletion jubilantly.)

Edit: look at them there godrays! ^_^

Yeah those pictures are a few months old. They put together that comparison fairly quickly after E3. Nothing leaked here, it's all official imagery

Edit: Well article talks about F4 being out in the wild. They look like the same things we saw compared months ago. Either way, for sure, it looks better. But I don't think that was really disputed? It's that it doesn't look AS GOOD as some of the other next gen stuff. I like it and have no problem with how it looks from gameplay leaks

Seems to be allowed, from what I see the Fallout 4 pictures are all officially released. I am definitely of the opinion that the game looks great and I don't really have a problem with the textures and meshes from what I've seen, my real issue is the animations haha. Beautiful game.

I'm just happy the sprint animations don't look so awkward.

Ha true, they seem alright. But those ghouls and mouth animations though...

IDK. I thought the ghoul animations look great. Look at 1:49 from the [post='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW7Of3g2JME%27%5Dannouncementtrailer [/post]

It may not be as good as other next gen games but other next gen games are nothing like fallout. A tiny COD map can't be compared for example.
I think it looks great and I'm extremely happy with it

That's really weird that this topic was moved without any explanation as to why.

I like stuff like this as it shows how fuzzy peoples memories are when it comes to game graphics. I have plenty of old games that I keep finding myself surprised at the graphics. In my mind they are these pristine things with awesome animation and great textures. But when I go back and play them they turn out to be pixilated polygons.

9 times out of 10, topic moves are self-explanatory. This topic is comparing the two games so Series Discussion is the best fit.

I don't know, the textures still look poor. Maybe an effect of the new rendering technique? Well, i'll get to look them in detail soon enough :P

But look at that blue sky! No more green tinting! :celebration:
