Has there been any news on thrown weapons and their perks?

Has there been any news on the types of thrown weapons in the game? I was hoping for more than just grenades and spears. Any word throwing knives or shurikens? What things like baseballs (since we know bats are in), bottles, rocks... anything really... Also, I was wondering if maybe I missed something and there's stuff in the perk tree for thrown weapons?

Haven't seen or heard of any types of throwing weapons. Doesn't mean they aren't in the game though as there also don't appear to be any perks for shotguns.

I'm hoping for many objects that can be thrown including being able to hit a grenade towards the enemy with a baseball bat for comical effect.

Are the shotgun perks not found in other weapon related perks?

I think for shotguns the only overlap could be the automatic weapon perk unless they're also considered to be rifles. But on topic if you consider explosives as thrown weapons they've covered - I haven't seen anything to indicate generic thrown weapon perks otherwise.

Not that I can see. Rifleman perk states "Keep your distance long and your kill count high." and only deals with non-automatic rifles. . Commando just seems to deal with automatic weapons, gunslinger deals with pistols. So unless shotguns fall under Heavy Guns (which I guess they could?) we don't have any shotgun specific perks.

I'd be totally gutted if no perks were drawn up for shotguns, I was thinking Strength L8 perk was shotgun related as he seems to be holding a shotgun. Godd howard thinks in mysterious ways.

Shotguns should be under rifleman, nothing else makes much sense.

That makes the rifleman perk very powerful since sniper rifles, shotguns and most energy weapons go under that perk.

The perk at Strength 8 has nothing to do with shotguns even if one are featured on the picture.

from some of the vids that were leaked, I saw Molotov cocktails. I would assume they would function on the grenades button. One would assume that if implemented in new vegas, it would be possible to be in FO4 as well. Throwing knives would be great for stealth characters. Throwing stars as well for those Wasteland Ninjas out there. I mean we have a flaming katana, why not shurikens.

I thought that maybe that could be the case but it really makes no sense as rifles and shotguns are pretty different. Rifles need perception.. firing one precision shot at a target. Specifically for long range. Shotguns need agility, firing a spread at a moving target. Specifically for short range. And of course there are semi-automatic/automatic versions of shotguns as well. So maybe they just fall under both commando and rifleman just like the rest of the rifles. Who knows.. maybe there are magazines dedicated to shotgun perks. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

When I saw the ninja perk I obviously assumed it would be dedicated to throwing .. I mean the guy is holding a throwing star. But it seems to just be for sneak attacks using any weapon.

I'm not seeing any perks on the chart that are specifically for any type of thrown weapons. Can't verify the validity of the perks yet, but there certainly have been leaks for all the chart perks at this point.
