Have any of you thought about having 9 INT and picking idiot savant anyways? It might not happen frequently, but three or five times your normally high XP might really pay off. What do you think?

I am thinking about it. Considering the no level cap, it'd pay off in the long term.
going to have INT 6 and Idiot savant, should give me a nice pace of leveling up, while leaving enough points for other stuff, right now considering

Going to aim to keep my distance, but I want to build better armor for the moments I fail to keep distance.
The likely hood of triggering the Idiot Savant XP is indirectly proportional to your INT.
High INT means you won't get the kind of boost that perk was meant to offer.
I always found those XP boosting perks to be a complete waste. I intend to play this game for hundreds of hours and I'm not in a hurry to get overpowered, which always happens at higher levels. I usually nerf the XP gain to have more fun at lower levels.
Not enough info. Need to know the proc rate formula but I doubt it'll be worth it until the point comes that you don't really need anymore perks unless you're trying to cram absolutely every build in to your character like a fist-fighting casanova sniper in PA.
Low intelligence dialogue options have pretty much been confirmed in the recent voice actor's interview. Just saying...
Not really for me that savant perk, I don't like to expedite the xp i earn
Good points. It doesn't really make sense from a role playing standpoint, either, but my thought was it could still give you more XP. For example (just to throw around numbers,) if you got say 25 XP per kill with 9 INT, you could get to 125 randomly. That's a huge chunk of extra XP, even if it only happened say one out of every fifty or so kills. Tough to calculate since I have idea what the actual XP awarded would be or the specific numbers on the odds it could occur.
It is good to know low INT convos are back though, those are always hilarious.
Ditto here. It is possible that with the lack of a level limit, my views may change (tho I am not in any hurry to become a demi-god in any case).
I find that far too many players seem to focus on the destination (final "build") when the entire journey is the experience I'm looking for.
