Which Build?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 8:08 pm

I have been pouring over the perks chart ever since it was leaked. Only a few more days! Anyway, I put together several potential characters, but I've pretty much narrowed it down to these two. Kurtz would be a low combat story/people driven character (really interested in trying out those charisma perks), while Ron would be an ideal explorer/crafting type character. Any thoughts on these builds? Potential gaps I missed? Oh and perks are listed in order of importance to the character - probably won't be able to get all of them.

Digging the Ron Swanson build.

Also, since you've got a good handle on the perk chart; I dont want to look at it and spoil things, but I want to make sure my character is at least capable of getting the armorer perk, and the weapon crafting perk... But I don't want to invest a lot in strength unless absolutely necessary. What strength would I need to obtain those? Figure I'll ask here rather than make a whole new topic.

I want to be different and try:

S 2

P 5

E 2

C 7

I 3

A 2

L 7

...On the hardest difficulty setting. I know this isn't my thread but I need expert advice.

I've usually neglected high luck and charisma - determined not to this time.

@archi

Interesting build. Only a couple things to say - build whatever character you'll have the most fun with. Don't just force yourself to play a character because you normally don't use those specials. But it could be fun to break out of your shell.

The other thing is that Luck related perks are definitely going to be VATS heavy. If you've got high luck you probably want high agility as well so that you'll have plenty of AP.

Yea, it's a tricky one. I was hoping luck would have many other factors other than vats. I honestly don't know...I just remember playing 3 and wondering how much more interesting things would be with high luck and charisma... should I switch perception for agility?
