Would be awesome turn an old sub or something into an underwater settlement. But I agree that if waterbreathing is now a perk and it's a rank 1 id be more disappointed if there wasn't a sizable chunk of content that's underwater.

Considering the Pip-Boy app is published by freaking Bethesda and is intended as a Fallout 4 companion app, what do you bloody think?

Oh, sorry we're not all Americans and worship what all of the States look like because they have no relevance to us.

So you wouldn't mind a game where the map of London completely neglects to add the Thames running through it?

Uhhh....guys....all that water space on the map is fully explorable and there will be locations and stuff you will find there.....so everyone can stop crying about the water portion of the map.

I'm not upset about that, I'm peeved off at the guy who thinks that anyone who doesn't know where Boston is is an idiot. Americans like that are so arrogant. It's funny, because he called everyone who didn't know where it was arrogant. Which makes no sense.

I don't care, I'm just not narcissistic enough to go around treating people who don't know where all of the States are like they're ignorant.

To be fair, you lot do the same to us when we don't know where London is. ;) :P

C'mon, I was just joking around with you. Can't you take a little rib-poking?

Being "realistic" and being "fun" are two completely different things. You shouldn't put one in at the expense of the other in a video game.

Exactly. It's not like Bethesda started with this gigantic square all-land map and said, "Wait, let's remove all this playable land area and content so we can fill the space with 30% water instead." People are acting like they've been cheated when they haven't even played the game. Would it make you feel better if they cropped the right-hand side of the map a little and increased the land/water ratio? Would that improve your perception of the map?

Very much so actually. I have yet to play a game that successfully adds a good portion of ocean aside from Black Flag. Was I upset that RockStar claimed GTAV was so huge, only to find out only a tiny portion of the overall map actually had anything? Yes.

I'm pretty certain Bethesda aren't going to make the map playable as though it were land. Sure we can swim in it, and sure we can dive, but it isn't going to be the site of towns, structures or quests. They aren't going to hide a bunch of stuff under the ocean for people to dive down to find, especially when stuff is so densely packed in their games like Skyrim where you can't throw a stone without hitting the next dungeon.

I can almost guarantee that it will be next to wasted space, but people will still defend it to death  I'm curious if people defended Skyrim's world map in the same way, because I know everyone was vehement about New Vegas.

No one said you needed to be. You are however the one pissing and moaning about it though.

"Oh. This is stupid, I'm playing a game in London and my character has to constantly keep finding bridges to cross this damn river to get to different parts of the map. Why did the stupid secs pit it there"

"That's the Thames, it literally runs through London."

"Stupid arrogant Brits, like I'm supposed to know anything about your country or should bother finding anything out. I despise your existence and the fact that you corrected me."

See what I did there.

You took someone's post out of context in an effort to make him look like a bad guy, when in fact he was replying to someone who called people arrogant and told people to "get over it"?

OK, I was being a jerk. I apologize. I shouldn't have called people stupid and ignorant because they're not aware of Boston's exact location. It was wrong of me, and I'll not do that again.

I'm sorry. Forgive me?

That's a ridiculous anology. I never complained about the water. I literally don't care whatsoever about that. I'm saying that calling someone stupid for not knowing exactly where a state is is arrogant and ridiculous. I wouldn't call someone anything for not know anything about Nottingham. I would tell them about it and leave it there, not call them arrogant and go on a rant about how stupid you'd have to be not to know exactly where Nottingham is.

A more appropriate anology would be:

"Whoa, I didn't know London had this much water! That's not what I expected at all!"
"Wow, the arrogance of some people! You should KNOW that London has a river running through it! Do your research before you complain!"
"You're the one that's arrogant. I'm not EXPECTED to know what London looks like. I don't come from there."

And I support the closing argument, expecting someone to know exactly where a place is despite it having no relevance to their life is ridiculous. I don't care if someone doesn't know what Nottingham looks like.
