Fallout 4 Xbox One Preload Info Needed?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:30 am

I have preloaded Fallout 4 on Xbox One after the official preload started, it took me several days to download it because of slow internet. On the Vault Boy icon it just says "Pre-ordered" the icon does light up all the way like other installs do. My question is does the words "Pre-ordered" still appear after Xbox One users have preloaded? Reason I am asking is this is the first preload I have finished before release, the cause of that is usually because it stalls. I preordered before Oct 27th and so the download went way too fast then. I followed the instructions via the sticky at the top lf this forum which I am pretty sure I downloaded the right file because it downloaded about 12-15% every 8 hours which made a lot more sense for my internet. Under managing Fallout 4 it says 28.1GB. Any info would be apprecitive.

EDIT: I just noticed it did take off about 28GB from my 1TB EXT Drive compared to when the stub file was there.

All seems as it should be right now. The reason it still states "Pre-Ordered" is because it still is just that. The game doesn't get released until around midnight Monday night, once that happens, the game will download more data (usually day 1 patch), and then the "Pre Ordered" will change to "Launch Game" and you will be able to install and play it. I hope that makes sense to you. lol

Uh - why didn't you just buy the store copy if you are playing on Xbox (I'm not encouraging it but it is reality at this point - Target, Walmart - lots of places have it out). Every store I know has broken street date b/c they don't want to lose sales to the stores that broke it first. So why not just buy it retail and play? Why download unless you are on PC?

I think Bethesda should just release it now for PC since everyone else is not only playing but posting/streaming and spoiling except for here. Sigh.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm really getting issues waiting, due to so much excitement. I'm kind of lucky as it unlocks at 9.01PM Monday for me, due to living in the USA PST time zone.

I would have, but the digital deluxe seemed very enticing. Also I live in the USA and my stores receive a $10,000 fine per copy sold before the designated release time, which is 9.01PM PST Monday for me. At least that's what I have been told in the past.
