Nerdy technical character protagonist question...

Hiya,

I'm fiercely attempting to avoid story and quest spoilers, but at the same time trying to learn as much as I can about the mechanical aspects of the gameplay.

So as a habit when playing games, I always try to make the first character I create resemble me as closely as possible. My boyfriend does the same thing as well. My question is, even though you only play one character, is it possible to customize the appearance of the other character before starting the game? For example, could I 'recreate' my boyfriend with the male protagonist, then switch to & recreate myself with the female protagonist for actual play-through?

Side question: Has anybody heard through the graqevine whether or not changing hairstyles after play has started is possible, and if so, how soon? I like to start out frilly, then switch to a practical 'Weaver in Alien 3', 'Portman in Vendetta', 'Moore in G.I. Jane', 'Theron in Fury Road' bald look. It's the only practical way to roll after the Apocalypse.

Yeah you'll be able to customize your player character and the spouse, but you won't be able to name them. I think the default names are Howard and Nora or something like that.
And haircuts are most likely gonna be included in the game since they were in the previous FO3 and NV

Default name for the wife is Nora, that was shown in the E3 demo, but sofar the default male name is unknown. Howard was done during the E3 due to naturaly Todd Howard doing the presentation, not cause its cannon. You can also see in the demo at e3, that despite changing to alter the female, the male protag stays the same. Safe to say that whatever you make them both into, they will keep that apearance throughtout the game.

As for the haircut thing, no idee, aldo FNV had the barber at the Kings. Then there is always the posibility to do "showracemenu" or similar console command on pc. However, seeing they added this feature to Skyrim after much requests for it in the DLC's it is possible that they will have added that this time around already at the start.
